me and my friend made a base on the beach, for some reason on day 25 there were just waves of mutants and virginias coming at squads. It was hell. Do not make a base on the beach if you play on hardcore
The beach also has lots of Aloe right there in the woods and the big tree on the cliff has marigolds all over. Together they make the best healing plant in the game you can eat
I ALWAYS build at the beach and when my friend was starting the game and we built there we had SO MANY bosses but make sure if you build there to block off the cliffs cuz the bosses can jump in and stuff

Ive spent the last two weeks building a 9000 log wall for my fortress complex and its to the point now where they have to get through three layers of walls before they can get to me and it runs from the great tree all the way over to the open area near goose lake
ik this is like very very late but i also recommend this base location at the respawn camp when u die climb up the rope and when u get out turn left and go down the mountain and u should end up in a massive area and a little river and cross and u should see like a flat low area on ur left and like a mountain/hill infront of u and i normally base on the low area bc idk why but 80% of the time no cannibals spawn there
