True when boss summon allies you can go and assassinate then chain assassinate. Heavy blade/spear fury attack then throw weapon tactics works killing 4 enemies at ones. But dont forget the sleep darts. You can throw at one target then get close to assassinate then chain assassinate to follow up. In just three simple sequence you can kill 6 enemies without even actual sword fights. Assuming your shots connect. I usual use spears vs the jackals when facing anubis boss. The spears attack push combo creates a 360 degree attack hitting multiple jackals at the same time. I use the atens end curse of the pharaoh king tuts signature spear. Smoke bombs. Dont forget to use it especially the knock down effect from the seer skill tree. Perfect for giving you a breathing room in case you get gang raped at point blank on the event you did not chain the assassinate sequence.
There are two running sets of gear atm, the normal and hard. I think you fought Sobek normal (unless they just cycled into hard mode sobke now), if it was normal then it would make sense you don't get the next "hard" tier of weapons. So currently (or at least was, since this stuff is switching over soon) the hard mode would be Anubis.

There is two gods available during this month's series of gods, March 13-20th was Sobek [Normal] & Anubis [Hard]. To get the items like the one I got in this video you would need to fight the hard ones. From March 20th to 27th we'll have both the normal cat god Sekhmet and the hard mode crocodile god Sobek. You've got to fight the hard mode gods to get the hard mode items, and yesterday I don't believe Sobek was hard mode.
