I can't believe that I used to work on the GE power plants on these beasts way back in 1977 at Myrtle Beach AFB. We were one of the first active duty bases to get the A10's. I transferred from the F4's, which was a bad mf'er in its own right, but the A10 was like getting a new sports car with a big ass gun mounted on its nose! The pilots could fly this bird 20' off the deck. I can't believe that they are still flying, but they more than proved their worth!
Insane agility!!!!! How do you get there! If you compare it to an F16, this F35 is a lumbering pheasant that wants to take on an acrobatic swallow. A cumbersome electronic monstrosity that doesn't really excel in any task. A multirole fighter that does not yet excel in anything. Hopefully there will never be a dogfight with an F16 under war conditions, because then this unwieldy F35 will be doomed. Before you write down a nonsense story, first read up on combat aircraft. That price is a joke. It really puts US in bad position on battlefield. The real price for such a device is about same as Apple's flagship phone. "Shrinking components without compromizing performance" is no good argument anymore as you compare the transistor density and computing power to current home PCs which is amazing. You need a swarm of them as one unit. The real thing should be much smaller and not look like a helicopter which is too easy to identify with a Tesla's AI circuit to which Chinese have access to. I'm sure US has such a device but if they say price is 1000000 it will never happen as they had to secretly pay 100 billion to get enough them for practical quantities. But Chinese will make it happen 100%. That kind of improved device is needed and is the game changer.
