I saw the "roving NG with paintball guns" meme circulating, and also saw one rebuttal to the Covid reasoning. This person said it was during the George Floyd riots, where Walz sent the NG around the city to enforce the curfew. The trouble with that rebuttal is (to me) that the NG was after there had been four or five days of rioting, AND that the NG wasn't in the city center where the rioting was, Walz sent them out into the 'burbs to paintball the residents into their homes. I mean, that's lunatic-moves. Or he simply did it for optics, trying to flex to the residents and meanwhile not risking any kind of confrontation with the looters and burners. Anywho....yeah, still a terrible look.

I'm a childless woman by choice. I wanted to drive a big truck since I was about seven years old. Fast forward - I'm a retired 68 year old woman who lived her dream. I retired after driving semi truck coast to coast with my husband. Both of us retired as 2 million mile accident free drivers EACH. We hauled everything from Nabisco, Keebler Campbell soup........ We were also hazmat endorsed hauling flammables, explosives, poisons and also had a secret clearance hauling loads that required armed unmarked cars traveling in our vacinity. Werner Enterprises is quite a large company and several times we were contacted by the trucks on board computer and told to swap loads with someone else so we could be put in position to pickup a top security load. We were required to stay out for a month at a time to be in the division we were on. Often Werner was told they want Pat and Pete to be on this load. I was very fortunate to find a doctor that tied my tubes when I was in my mid twenties. No regrets. I got to live my dream far beyond my wildest imagination. Side note: twice in my career I was told they wouldn't accept delivery from a female driver. One of those places was a Home Depot store. I had to go out and have my husband bring the paperwork in while I backed the 73 foot tractor trailer to the dock, lower the landing gear and disconnect the lines to drop the trailer at their dock. If I had it do do over again I'd back the truck and trailer across every dock door, drop the trailer so they couldn't get another load. 😤🎉 That was several years ago and just recently I found out ,in tRumps words is supposed to be good friends with the owner of Home Depot. Here, 21 minutes in, one of the hosts launches off from a description of a gigichad meme into the most insightful and succinct dissection of our generational shift from a 9 to 5 capitalist labor patriarchy into a progressive longhouse era of women in the workforce, and the civil war that will likely come about as a result... in the middle of a discussion of the non-story of progressives calling JD Vance "weird", in the middle of a podcast with 26 likes. And it's like, "Guys, insane takes like THAT are what we aren't getting elsewhere. Make THAT the podcast. We're covered on the JD Vance "weird" conversation."

Our economy works when the average guy can get the average job, and on that pay buy the average house. Our culture works when the average guy can find and marry the average girl, and have (on average) a couple of kids -- again, all on that average job.
"When our elected officials summon Google to a hearing and tell them they're being bad..." ... our UN-elected officials send them emails outlining just how bad they have to be. The fact that they ignore the elected officials and pay attention to the unelected officials tells us how broken our system is.
We shouldn't blame a Sikh woman for the failures and decline of the Church. BTW, Sikhs are a warrior people and the DoD, perhaps on advice of the British, have allowed these men their religious traditions (beards and turbans.)
