Andy, please come the Newton Theater in Jersey. 600 seater. I saw you at Iridium a few years ago and met you which was a great honor. Been playing for 50 years but gave up on the band thing so now I get my inspiration from listening to you. Love the way you play and your incredible tone lasts for days! Rock on brother! Class of 81'
00:48 Playing a rhythm pattern and then playing over that afterwards (in your head!!) was a true eye opener. People describe it but watching it happen in real time was fantastic. I realise how much practice I have ahead of me in order to get to that "internalising" level. Thanks, Andy. New sub here.
Jeff was an absolute genius bar none, that haunting track "Caroline" I play over and over again, he was an Icon of his time and taken from thousands of us far to early RIP Jeff
Andy your the best, thank you so much for your music, wish i could meet yea someday or at least make it to a live performance, that would be a dream come true, but im grateful being able to listen to your music at the very least.
Still in my Top 3 of all time solos . Andy is amazing, and this one song , has 7 or more distinct sound techniques. I am a novice, but I know talent when I see it. He has great feel for tone, it's not just fingering, Andy is special! Kudos Andy ...come to NC !!
Andy and Simon kicked it 30 years ago. A more recent Simon and Andy, part of Protocol, was another amazing engagement. Soulful guitar execution and it rocked. Our access to such talent is unparalleled in this age of the net. We are so lucky.
Not sure whether you are the best guitarist in the world :)) I guess a few are! But for sure, with David Gilmour you have been the one that has touched me the most. Thank you for your work and emotions you give us.
