I'm here for a good time, not a long time, and to make the most out of life. Having had multiple open heart surgeries already and a degrading heart, that means being as healthy as possible. Financially, it means planning for my exit ramp in life. Most importantly, it means packing as many wild experiences as I can into the years I have remaining. Much like my tattoos and scars being the scrapbook of my body, this is the home movie of my life.
Without passion, life is pointless, and I have a lot of it for cars, motorcycles, guitars, guns, art, movies, music, photography, and my dog, Baron. My accomplishments so far include 3 books, an album, an award winning documentary about breaking the cross country motorcycle record, my own shop building custom choppers, and riding my bike 198.4 mph at the Texas Mile, but I still have a lot more adventures to enjoy, so twist the throttle and ride along!
For that particular surgery, it was to replace my previous hybrid mitral valve i'd had installed 13 years earlier. for full history up to that surgery, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m4DvuJzqpRQ.html tells the background. There's been a LOT since then too that are covered in videos since the 10 day update video.
i'm selling all of them as individual collections. this was just the short, but for each full length video on the toys, the day i post the video, i put a note in the description with the ebay listing as soon as i post it, or a note if it's already sold for those pre-arranged sales prior to ebay listing.
@@mbrasilbutaitis no, no you didn't miss anything yet. I just assembled all the lego kits today and will film that and when i post the lego video, i'll have the link in there to the ebay ad. www.ychrome.com/genx.html is my site page where i have a link to the gen x video playlist, and all the toy videos will pop up there soon as i post them. on that same page is the excel sheet with full inventory. the one there doesn't have the legos on it yet as i just did the updates today, but i'll post the new version with lego details in the next day or two.
thanks. i haven't done specifically what you asked, but if you look at the samsung app (connected to your watch), you'll see the steps counted right there, so i believe as long as you're wearing your watch, you should be capturing your steps that way. if you're on a stairmaster, the hike function won't capture distance because GPS will think you're standing still the whole time.
very complicated, and high risk if you're doing close to 200 mph and off a couple degrees one way or the other. this was specific to lowering for racing, but ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S3wcQqpGbcs.htmlsi=NF51SOTlTEsX2e0A shows the final video i did on doing this for the street.
And remember to remove the batteries when storing the receiver and transmitter; Double-As' don't age well, even when not in use. Strangely, I've never seen nine-volt batteries leak over time.
haven't figured that out just yet. i'm making a video for each collection and the Masters one will be in a couple weeks probably, so you can see all the details. I'm not opposed to selling direct vs an ebay auction if we can work it out as it gets closer though.
i had a shoei with the roll down internal sunshade, and i don't see that working with this. you're welcome to try, but from what i remember, i don't think it would've worked on mine.
The glossyblack is best ! Right tools and know how the Porsche Manual ... These is a complex work and hove to be done. I am happy with your work and give my thumps up.
definitely love the look of these wheels and chose the gloss black over flat finish! correct, about $1k in tools i spent, but now can swap them myself. there were no videos i found that covered every detail, so i made my own to make sure i have a solid reference for me and others. much appreciated!
@@leslieankers1886 there were a ton of color and finish options. i was close to satin black as it would more closely match the other car, but decided these in gloss were too good looking :)
i haven't used the martin backpacker, but i've heard good things about it and i have a martin full size (shown in video) i love. best bet is find a store with both and try them out.
Thanks for sharing. Interesting information. I've never trusted the system. When I quit, I cash it out. Not the best plan, but I get what's mine, minus uncle sam's taste.
What carbs did you add? I'm cutting right now, I just do a slice of bread and oatmeal in the morning, rotate, and brown rice or red potato for lunch and double veggie for my dinner. My macros are protein highest, carbs, second, fat third. I am getting 200-220 of protein a day.
kinda wolf diet, primarily fruits, some roots (potatoes/carrots) occasionally, really try to avoid grains and sugar, although when i found out how bad the liver was, i did eat oatmeal for a while, but i've cut it back out as it made it too hard to get everything else i needed w/o being over on calories. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aRXQlujZhoM.html
@@NoLimitsNoRegrets I added the multi vitamin from animal pak. Like taking horse pills but has everything you need from liver health, to super beets etc. I run with high BP seems to help.
I'm 10 weeks out now from my OH..Still lots of pains in my chest and the incision area still gets tight..lots of Arm and Shoulder Pains...No fun at all and made me unemployed..Good thing I have lots of stuff to sell...including my Harley 🥲
takes a long time to get rid of the tightness everywhere. laugh as you may, i gave yoga a try after my first OH, and have to admit it does help stretch things out, get the muscles waking up, etc. w/o stressing the heart too much. bummer on the job, bigger bummer you have to sell the harley :( i took both my harley and aprilia apart to repaint after my first OH just to keep my stubborn ass from riding them before i was supposed to.
Hi, first nice video, I recently changed the micro switch on my 2017 S1KRR since the QS is not working but the cruise control work fine. The issue is that when I’m driving the QS don’t grab any single gear unless the throttle is partially twist (basically nothing just like 1/2 inch from Idle). It feels more like I’m doing a synchronized shifting(rev shifting I think they called on bikes) rather than QS doing the work. It doesn’t work to down nor to up shifting at any RPM just how I described above. So changed the micro switch but still have the same issue, I do not own a GS911 (for now, but look like is an OBD2 for car totally necessary for DIY), do I need to do the reset of the throttle and transmission mandatory at this point? And do the GS911 works with apple computer? This last question I’ll dig in a little bit more obviously hehe Thanks in advance
it's wise to reset the throttle and tran just to eliminate those 'easy' items. even if they're both okay, at least you know those aren't the culprit as you try to troubleshoot. '17 should be the new red gs911, not the old yellow one. i've never owned an apple anything, so guess just read the gs911 info to make sure. i think they make a wired and wireless version now.
@@NoLimitsNoRegretshi, I ordered the red one yesterday after posting the comment here since I like to DIY stuff, eventually I’ll need it so. I’ll calibrate de trans and throttle to discard, but if this doesn’t work I might just order a new QS. Is the stock the one I got.
@@arnaldosanchez7569 good plan. i actually tried several QS devices before finding the real problem. i settled on the alpha quickshifter, had the best luck with that one.
Yet ANOTHER amazing video. Thanks so much for sharing. I’d no idea the mechanical / artificial valve pretty much chops up the red blood cells. My husband’s cardiologist hasn’t ever mentioned iron infusions - he’s always been somewhat on the anemic side - but I think I’m going to make mention and get his opinion. Looking forward to hearing about your Circuit run!
amazing how much information there is to just keep learning! this low iron is killing my breathing. really hope they help and start soon. survived the track day, barely. was beat by end of the day, sick, and today is a full rest day.
Many people have had multiple heart surgeries and never developed heart failure. Do you know how/why this occured to you? I myself am going to surgery for ascending aortic aneurysm and insufficiency in the aortic valve because of bicuspid aortic valve in October. I am leaning heavily towards Benthal preocedure with the corcym bicarbon mechanical aortic valve. Repair may be an option but i dont want any other surgeries.
i've had so much trauma to mine, pericarditis, 3 open hearts, plus i had a long period of too much caffeine, booze, and averaging 2-3 hrs sleep/night for a couple years. do some research and talk to your doc about the mechanical valve. i understand not wanting more surgeries, but there are tradeoffs like blood thinners for life, higher stroke risk, and the potential anemic effects i mentioned in this video. it's a big decision, just make sure it's what's best for you.
Thanks for sharing the update. I was beginning to worry when you were quiet for a while, I'm sure those trips were good for the soul, but hard on the body. I've been feeling the wind down more n more here too. I really should go find a dr, but I already know the answers. Neither they nor I know the timing though. Still working 11-12 hour days. Living on aprin and ibuprofin. Almost every joint hurts to move too. Still kicking and too stubborn to go get lied to again by the docs as they practice their trade and drain my wallet. We're here for however long we're here. Just turned 50 2 weeks ago. Thats already 10-15 years longer than they said I had. I'll take it as it comes.
it's been a rocky couple months and going downhill as you can see. trips had to be done while i could. happy late bday, looks like i get 8 months of age and wisdom on you, though i don't have a lot more to share than my age math skills. taking each day as it comes is exactly what i'm doing too. have a cupcake with a candle and enjoy it.
I've heard you say that you really don't want to hear anyone's remedies but I'm wondering if you have considered the carnivore diet for congestive heart failure. Kerry from Homestead How reversed his case with that diet. Thanks for the update, I admire your courage and presence of mind through all these challenges. Best wishes with everything!
first surgery years ago was different, but for this one, i was off all pain meds by day 4 (i think i mention this in the 10 day video) because of how awful those meds made me feel. biggest sleep hurdle was the cough, so i had to sleep sitting up for several weeks i believe, but beyond that, my body was just beat and needing to recover, so i was sleeping a lot, not just at night, but naps in the day too. every body is different, but that was my experience.
triple bypass is no joke. good news for you is as long as you make improvements, you should be good. if you see my more recent videos, all the work that's been done to mine has me in congestive heart failure, so make healthy choices now that you have your second chance with life.
I see we both suffer the same ways in that if we can’t help but comb through details nobody else would lose a moments sleep over. It’s a blessing and curse! I’d not have it any other way but fairly well am constantly needing more hours in a day to get things correctly correct! 😂good stuff. 😊
I also had both aortic and mitral valve replacement and on my 10th day post op.What Im troubled in is the consistently lower bld pressure. What should I do
low bp after surgery might be caused by medications given to slow the heart down for healing. obviously talk to your doc, but you can see in my medications video, they put me on one that dropped mine really bad and caused a lot of issues.
Thanks for the great video! 🔥 Im planning on getting this, but use my phone as a satnav, so was wondering once the V1G2 is connected to the app, can I minimise it and open i.e. google maps etc and it still gives me noise alerts despite it being in the background? I have an android and will use a Cardo intercom for the alerts.
hey, glad it helped. with droid, there's an app called jbv1 that i've used, and i haven't had a chance to mess with it since getting the new phone setup, but in the past, it has allowed a sticky overlay to your nav, so you can have both on display at once. my sena allowed seamless music with alert interruptions fine, however, what i learned is that with the eyelights HUD helmet device is that it forces you to use android auto, which will not let me run jbv1, and even the audio part i struggled with cuz every time an alert came from the v1, it stopped my music and would not restart. because of this, i'll probably go back to a sena setup. point is, i've had good luck, but not with android auto running. what i did on the aprilia is installed one of the bright LED dash visuals for the v1 as well just as extra risk mitigation.
looked like i had all the pieces for this one yet. net, boulder, elevator, etc. never had the hoth base though, just an at-at and snowspeeder and tauntaun
I’m about to enter month 4 of aortic valve replacement. Everything I went through except my heart rate never had issues. I do all of the monitoring except that portable ekg you are using and I’d love to know more. So far it has not been suggested to me.
yes, the kardia mobile 6k. more info on that with all the stuff i use at home is in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0-6LnfT-A0o.htmlsi=muWweo90oX6ZPULw
@@joysmith687 mine love that i have it as it's really hard to capture deviations in the rhythm, and if i feel them and can catch them on the kardia, it gives me the data to show the cardiologist later.
at 13:03 i'm talking about clutch cable adjustment, so not sure what cylinder you're referencing. could you be more specific? i doubt i'll have part numbers for any of this though. easiest thing is go to maxbmw and look at exploded part diagrams and find it in there. that's what i do every time :)
Sorry I got the wrong time stamp 12:43 . I am having the same issues and was able to resolve the QS issue by adjusting the clutch cable. But the cylinder you mentioned is missing from my clutch lever, so nothing is making contact with that bottom switch.
@@GarfordAlexander oh, yeah, that piece. no i don't have the part number for it, but i think it's called the clutch switch actuator. easiest thing is go toa dealer, have them pull up the exploded views, and point at that piece and they can sell it to you. if you don't have a local dealer, maxbmw has the exploded views you can look at to find it. that's what i do when i need parts.
Just want to say this video saved me this morning coming from work I had a flat tire . Thank you so much for posting today I learned to change car tire 👌
I had aortic valve replaced and mitral valve repaired 14 years ago. Now the aortic valve is work out and the ring around the mitral valve has come loose. So do dome test Wed. Sept3 2024. After that looks like the end of September or first of October I will go in for my SECOND open heart surgery. Im 73 and i truly hope that this will be the last
My dad has triple bypass (CABGx3) a month ago and he plans to start having a cheat DAY, once a week. I don’t think this is a good idea, but I can’t find anything I can use to show him that this is not smart for him to do. Do you have any advice?
sorry for the delay, had a bunch of health issues and in heart failure, so haven't had as much time as i wanted to use the gadget and film the follow up video. it's near the top of my list, as i've had several requests, so will get that going soon as i can.
