401K risk is a real issue as i've been learning recently. I started serious retirement planning at 50 as i reached terminal health condition which tested my 401k trust i had turn into a 401k nightmare. As someone going through medical disability and retirement planning social security, I learned the extent of 401k high risk through these personal 401k horror stories. There are some good tips here for 401k investing for beginners, to think about other options besides 401k investing strategies, self directed ira vs 401k vs investing, roth ira, real estate, self-directed ira quest or self directed ira accounts.
