I'd rather choose Harbeth SUPER HL-5 Plus for the same price. They sound much more clear to me : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JlJA_N3z0N8.html I definitely don't like JBL sound 😕
Sonus faber Amati Futura... successor of a reknown, highly appreciated and much loved Amati Anniversario ! And as such probably the worst Amati edition ever to come out of Sonus faber lab ! Things were much improved and back on right track with Amati Tradition !
They are like around the 8700 dollors - 9000 dollos, depens what countrey ofcause, and thats with stands, because they can only use there stand because the crossover for the speaker sits inside the stand.
Impeccable ! But, I wonder why were db metres often very close to the red mark? Did you play the music very loud? Was it because those Raidho are difficult to drive?
and these speakers would sound a lot better if you wired them up properly, do not use stereo wire with the jumper It's holding back the performance of the speaker use a proper internal bi-wired speaker wire or use two separate runs, The sound stage will open up tremendously if you wire them up properly.
Actually there are several things here - I have a pair and firstly they need bi-amping - not necessarily a big or expensive duo but they are so soundstage capable this is the biggest thing to get the near wall less sound from them - they also work best 6-8 inches from a wall because of the D'Appolito design - every separate 'box' in each tower has a rear port and the wall is used to tune that - and have them set in well away from the corners too - I use mine with Cambridge Edge NQ and 2X Cambridge Edge W Monos and hi-end wiring throughout
@tomasz, I have them and I am VERY satisfied. The look is amazing, beter live then in any pic or video, and the sound is near to perfect... but if you ask was it worth buying , noone can answer it but you. It is very individual. L100 75 Anniversary is limited model and sold out, so you will need to look for some other model.
The 8B is not able to fully realise the capabilities of the 4350... the recommended power is 100W for the mid highs and 200W for the woofers... but still nice video though.
James Edward Thiel you're in heaven. You've made sound perfection. You're right about everything in your development of perfect speakers. And competitors just sell furniture that makes sounds. Your speakers are playing music correctly, they are not furniture. I don't believe that you yourself passed away. Maybe you were killed by competitors from big corporations.
I wonder if there's a current manufacturer out there who would consider taking Jim's designs on and begin manufacturing these again? Because I agree with you, Thiel at their best (which the 3.7s are) still do many things better than anything currently out there, at ANY price.
@@billarmstrong5568 I think it's a conspiracy! Yes, a conspiracy of audio equipment manufacturers. no matter how loud my statement sounds, I think I am close to the truth. Jim's technology closes the issue of perfect sound, but such an end to the race is unprofitable for those who endlessly want to earn! A selfish businessman wants to sell the placebo effect in his "pieces of furniture" and dissatisfaction with sound is the eternal engine of business.
PRESENT NAIM IN 3 WORDS OR LESS: Low build quality. Must be left on constantly drawing massive electric current. Expensive recapping REQUIRED every 10 years. Use of overpriced DIN cables. Always an option to buy a new PSU for "better sound". Proprietary star-grounding mess equals incompatibility with other equipment without hum. Loudly humming toroid transformers. Famous Naim speaker hiss can be heard from 3 meters away with 87db speakers. Zero soundstage, only pounding exaggerated mid-bass. Naim "PRaT" is a marketing gimmick. Cold, steely, metallic and abrasive sound equals immediate listening fatigue. Naim repair service requires several months of unit immobilization. Naim has lost 3 CEOs, 2 Marketing Directors and countless technical engineers in the last 2 years. Naim INSISTS on using ALPS blue velvet potentiometers for balance and volume control which are ALWAYS imbalanced and SKEWED either left or right. It impossible to have a centered musical image for stereo listening with Naim equipment. Naim STILL will maintains the omerta on using non-Naim speaker cables as they threaten this will "blow up" your amplifier because of inductance, resistance and capacitance values. Naim is now obligated to demo with Focal speakers, and vice-versa, due to the unnatural and illogical marriage of two brands managed by Vervent Audio Group. This entity is managed by Cedric Boutonnet from Saint Etienne, France and who doesn't give a SHIT about Customers in general and the Naim brand in particular. It is a well-known and well-documented fact that Naim and Focal do not work together and should never be in the same system. Imagine associating Naim with beryllium tweeters = instant ear bleed. Shall I continue? There's lots more to be said.
