Some of finest sound anywhere. Its all about the Monitor Audio speakers. They are something unbelievably special.

anybody that says that these are not world class speakers is full of it the only reason that this pair of speakers is not $80,000 because it's made in China, monitor audio's driver technology is way ahead of everybody especially that MPD tweeter, it's the best tweeter on the market right now goes up to 100,000 clean.

and these speakers would sound a lot better if you wired them up properly, do not use stereo wire with the jumper It's holding back the performance of the speaker use a proper internal bi-wired speaker wire or use two separate runs, The sound stage will open up tremendously if you wire them up properly.

Actually there are several things here - I have a pair and firstly they need bi-amping - not necessarily a big or expensive duo but they are so soundstage capable this is the biggest thing to get the near wall less sound from them - they also work best 6-8 inches from a wall because of the D'Appolito design - every separate 'box' in each tower has a rear port and the wall is used to tune that - and have them set in well away from the corners too - I use mine with Cambridge Edge NQ and 2X Cambridge Edge W Monos and hi-end wiring throughout
