By far the best song on the album, I used to listen to it full blast in the car and hurtle down country roads at night in the dark. Truly felt like I was going insane.
🙌🏼🙂 www.youtube.com/@andreaslodgemp4
I listen to different genres and artists, but it's always Porcupine Tree I come back to. They're mindblowing, immense. And can I say this? Wilson made a HUGE mistake replacing Wesley and Eldwin with other musicians, because this was the best line up ever!
Great song from a great band and gifted songwriter. I liked this period of Porcupine Tree so much better than the current sterile sounding version. This is anything but sterile sounding, What a tone to the guitar. Excellent keyboards and soundscapes. I liked the original drummer and the bass player Colin Edwins is sorely missed. Excellent melodic psychedelic Prog rock.
Incredible song from an incredible album. Yes Steve Wilson is one of the masters at effects and using different guitar tones. Certainly an accomplished and excellent rhythm and lead guitar player and vocalist. Sad theme to the song. Actually sick. To think this sick lunatic took a bunch of other lives with his. Sad.
Saw the current lineup play this live at Radio City Music Hall last night… hearing this one live still feels so surreal. Amazing song, and this recording is GREAT. Really interesting to compare Chris to Gavin. Very different styles, but both play this phenomenally.
I absolutely love Porcupine Tree. However, bashing Americans isn't cool. It's not like violence happens only in the U.S.A. Watch the news people. Oh, BTW, "Trains" is totally awesome.
I was there. Great performance. I remember the empty seat next to me for the entire festival except for PT. He could have saved the 200 dollars and seen them at the TLA in Philly two days later (which was actually a much better show).
@joaop58 I totally agree. The version from "Stupid Dream" does not touch this live version. I love this song so much. The whole band at 4:05 is totally NSYNC and everything just flows so perfectly. Does anybody notice from 4:30 Chris Maitland the drummer is having so much fun. He is smiling or laughing like I have never seen him before. It is amazing how P.T. creates this music. S.W. is a mastermind.
