Is anyone shocked at Mallorca‘s popularity ? Turkey‘s prices got insanely high, other parts of the world are too dangerous at the moment… Mallorca seems like the Caribbean islands of Europe in comparison
We lived for 35 years in Cala d’Or , our villa was 1st line in the cala. It used to be wonderful but after the marina was built and got so big, we were quite often swimming with poo in the water….be careful .
Turkey already has biometric rules in place. They are just taken at passport control and has no involvement of hotels etc. Turkey is also visa free if UK passport holder.
What I do not understand all these checks,to prevent terrorism and crime ,yet the most likely to commit crime undocumented illegal immigrants no checks.
Portugal is doing that, too. People may not have noticed it yet, but accommodation providers are asking for more information than usual. When asked why, their answer is, because the government is requiring them to do so.
Majorca is just so expensive from humberside and a quick look at the met office weather tells a different story. Antalya titanic belek these days, you get so much more for your money ❤
What do they need all that personal information that has nothing to do with renting a room, why is a passport not enough, why do they need bank and other personal details, that your own country don’t ask for, I was over on 11 September to 18th, and was quite shocked to have to pay a travel tax for being on the island 👀 are these new rules for tourist or is it for ppl who staying for a length of time?
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun iv never paid it to visit the places iv been in holiday too, hopefully this dosent happen so people still visit, I will keep watching your videos for updates ♥️
@@speckledhen6573 might try there on my next holiday, my friend is going there soon, and know a few people who holiday there for years, mallorca is a beautiful island and most people was nice, I would of gone back, but by the sound of this it’s asking to much to go to visit, if they put this in place it’s going to put a lot of business on to there knees, it’s a shame because it’s a lovely place, but there’s lots of nice places
Hola Alex sa coma looks amazing the weather looks great ill be in alcudia in 10 days time I need to get away from the wet and windy uk weather happy days😂xx
€36 for the rental of sun beds? 😯 I want to rent them not buy them 🙄 just back from Tenerife paid €9 for 2 sunbeds beds and a parasol on Los cristianos beach BEAUTIFUL, and NO getting fleeced for about €40 when you arrive at the hotel either, I used to love Majorca but I'm rapidly falling out of love with it Tenerife is hotter & cheaper 👍🏻
Thanks to the Spanish. Your channel will be better off called "Tourists, under the thumb". This new rule has really put me off visiting. Been going there since 1980.. I'm too polite to type what I really want to Alex.😢
Hi Alex thanks for your guidance in helping us with our first visit to Majorca staying at the SON MATIAS BEACH HOTEL absolutely love the hotel just got here on the 1st October will mention you in the comments at the end of our weeks stay here ,thank you from Russ and Christine and Dave and jacky
That’s where I was a month ago! It’s a really lovely resort…yes very flat & the traffic-free promenade along the beach is excellent. The first beach bar is my regular where I would go to when I was at the beach…very reasonable prices.
It’ll be interesting to see what the EU thinks of the rules, actually, I think they’ll love to hem and try to roll them out across the bloc. What WILL be good to see is the advice U.K. card issuers will give in regard to giving out card details…..
I’ll be dropping in just to support your channel, but with the pending new rules about personal data, any and everything Spanish is off my list for now.
Probably because there is no silly alcohol law like in Palmanova and Magaluf. Also probably is the last year it's going to be that busy given the way that Spain's going forward with their silly laws...
Those beautiful tall palm trees make Sa Coma look like Beverly Hills lol I love it.I much prefer the tall palm trees than the shorter ones, the tall ones look more classy and glorious.
@@george-eh6zu Well having grown up in Mallorca to me over an hour by car or bus was a long trip lol not anymore cos sadly I no longer live in my legendary Mallorca but the prodigal son shall be back for good soon! =)
Is this a canary islands thing as well, I was considering first time in 15 years going abroad, might be elsewhere now or stick to UK which I love any way.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun yes this is true of course, just thought they might be different as they have different duty free rules as operates this outside of EU even though they are in EU, weird. I guess we will have to wait and see.
