Just like any other law, It depends of how the exceptions are used, if we just have a rule saying “don’t sell what you don’t own” then it will sound ok, until you realize that most business agents won’t be able to do business or bank agents wont be able to give loans etc...so the doctrine is designed to protect the consumer yes but the exceptions make it such that the seller can still find a way to do business.... its the same with “caveat emptor” which protects the seller but still has exceptions that protect the buyer

Hello, You have a choice of attending a college that offers cips courses or you can self study... it just comes down to how committed you are or your circumstances. Once you have decided on when you are sitting for the exams and know the exam centre close to you, you can then register for the membership and book your exams. BUT REMEMBER the exam booking period has a start date and a closing date so you need to know the dates depending on the exam month you have chosen As for the resources, membership and exam dates, you can see all that on cips website: www.cips.org/
