These two videos are great and could make for a great 1/2 tease/summary in youtube short videos, that I think would do well! Maybe withhold your full list, or give top 3 and then favorite three in the "full video". Not sure just an idea to drive more, thanks as always man! Cheers
What does you think k about having the mod tub if you travel on the road doing shutdowns? Something i can take with me on the road and have a chiller with. I'm 6'2 300lbs
@@DavidMausJr i wouldn't travel with it full. But it's between the modtub set up or getting a penguin 1hp chiller with the barrel 400. Which would be best?
I started with the #TheIcePod January 1st, 2024. It served me amazingly well until last month when I upgraded to an Ice Barrel 500. Pro Tip: get some of that silver foil bubble wrap insulation paneling from Lowe’s or Home Depot and wrap it around the outside a few layers and that bad boy will keep ice for a LOOOOOT longer than you can imagine! Also, if you have the insulated lid for the Ice Pod you can cut some circles of that same insulation or get 3/4 green foam insulation panel and cut 2 half circles large enough to barely fit inside the top of the insulated lid and it will extend the cold storage for significantly longer as well. I did these little redneck hacks to mine and it made it from Jan to the extreme heat of August with no problem. Just add ice blocks each night to temper the water down to where you like it. I generally stayed sub 40*. PS; that foil bubble wrap insulation is called “Attic Insulation” iirc., and duct tape holds it on wonderfully. Best of luck if you try this!! Loving my Ice Barrel 500 now that The Ice Pod I got helped me become a veteran cold plunger!
I'm 6'1 300lbs. I've been looking at the modtub for a while. I also live in florida during the winter and alaska in the summer. Will I fit in the modtub? In alaska i just go in the glacier water.
Love your videos! I am just starting in cold plunges and you seem to have the best ideas for keeping the water clean while minimizing chemical use. What mic do you use for recording?
Great video! Plus I got to see the sun home Suana! Is there a red light in that sauna? Thought I saw one on the right side? If so,what brand and did you install it yourself? Thx brother!
Love what you do David. I've got the saunabox and use it 5-6 times a week. Anytime I start to feel like I'm coming down with a cold I make sure to hit the saunabox. Ive found my symptoms are relieved and I'm better within a day or two. Love to get your thoughts on this!
Great video, David. From what I’ve researched getting sick is not always a bad thing. Sometimes when the body has extra energy, it will go back and “retrace “old infections and viruses to heal from them. Using energy that it has now they didn’t have before to deal with those sicknesses.
Can you tell me is this like Genetic Testing Like 10x? Do you think this is better? Not trying to put anyone down just trying to make a good decision. Thanks
I’m sure 10x is great too, there are a lot of options but if you want a testimony and recommendation from me and my wife, Blokes and Joi is what we’re using. 😊
Ug. Everyone is sick now! Thanks for exploring this topic (cold plunging and sauna when sick). I’ve always wondered about this. Hope you and your family get well soon!
Do you keep the Active Aqua Chiller outside all day in all weather elements 24/7? And it is still working fine? Do you perform any maintenance on the chiller besides filters?
I’ve been sick for about a week now. I tried plunging three days into the illness and here I am three days later sicker than I was before I cold plunged. Not only that but typically cold plunging gives me a good nights rest. The day I plunged while sick I got some of the worst sleep I’ve had in a long time. So for me, it’s safe to say it had absolutely no benefit at all. I did, however, notice an immediate (but temporary) relief of my sinus congestion the second I started to plunge.
I bought a Desert plunge after months of research....LOVE IT. I used your discount code, thanks. Customer assistance is great as well if you have some questions about anything. With the water always moving, if you start by setting the chiller at 50 degrees, it feels more like 40 to me. ( Ive been plunging for about a year, started out with bags of ice.) You never have to worry about it being " cold enough ". Keep up the great videos Dave !
