Hi Karl, in April I will be on tour in Prague, the tension is very high. I'll bring the z6II and here comes the fun part! What is the purpose of having only hand luggage? I was thinking about the wide angle 14-24 f2.8. From your experience, what do you recommend, a wide angle or the minitele 24-120? I mostly photograph architecture, history combined with street people. What can you tell me? Thanks and good light. Marco
Love this video it is a nice setting do you have to cross the river since that will make it very hard as I am getting over a broken ankle I want to get a photo of this place I am from New Zealand
Some cracking images mate. Good vlog. I’m 2 hours away from Glencoe, love it. You should return to Glencoe in the middle of the night, especially if there are clear skies. It’s totally different.
Love this video as I am coming to the Lake District next mth from NZ i need places to go to that a easy as I am getting over a broken ankle, I am also going to Snowdonia so I will look for that video you make 😀
Good to ‘bump’ into you both at Buttermere yesterday. Great channel, location ideas, techniques and photos (of course). Will keep an eye out for new vlogs in the future. All the best.
Great video Karl, stunning set of images too. If only I could get up there, but never going to happen so no point even thinking about it but there’s plenty of places ground level I can shoot, just need some pointers on where I can get some decent photos higher up. I do know of a couple but that’s it.
I was looking for Anglesey wildlife photography videos and yours popped up - lovely stuff! Awesome you managed to get those red squirrels! And the kingfisher! A tiny prompt, the bird you labelled as long tailed tit is actually a female chaffinch, the ones labelled correctly are the males 😊
I was up there last monday. The owner is having the mill refurbished,a lot of work is ongoing & at least a dozen bright green,1 ton bags of building material are stacked next to the building.Access is up the hill & past the mill, then having to cross the boulder littered stream.I managed to cross, but did end up with wet feet,as it is quite treacherous.Nobody working there at the time, but once started I would imagine it will be a no go area.
If they have not started on the refurbishment of the mill yet & no one is on site, if the water flow is reasonably low,so you can cross the stream, then yes you can get some good images. Worth a try if you are in the area.
Without a doubt, your best RU-vid to date! Not that the others aren’t good, but seeing the Behind The Scene (BTS) and at this level of mess goes to show just what it really takes for a photographer to get that amazing shot. It’s not always simple and easy … and, thank God no cameras, accessories, nor people were harmed in the making of this episode.
Add Rydal grot to the list, as someone with blocked arteries, I cannot walk more than 50 yards without pain, and the walk to the Grot is not very far. I was lucky and got there before the crowds. it was so serene and peaceful in the grot. Blea tarn is also an easy walk, but if you are a little on the infirm side, the ground can get quite boggy, between the path and the tarn, but it is only 25 or so yards
Honestly Anne. Unbelievable the minds of some. Despite some derogatory comments to myself I always find a clear and obvious entry point. If its not open I walk away. Taking only exterior shots. To damage such a historic building is the last thing on my list and I condemn anybody who does. The collection of artifacts inside date back decades and its a shame these places can't be saved for genuine interest. Thanks for watching 👀
Don’t know how I managed to miss this vlog Karl…but it came up on my RU-vid feed this morning! Absolutely stunning images as always.Hope you are doing well and finding lots of new subjects to show us all sometime soon.Take care..💙
Great drone footage, love it. That white out shot at Ogwen was sublime. Liked the drive down Ogen too, big smile on my face. Are you from near Chester?
Great drone footage Karl and lovely shots, good seeing Dinas Mot on the left and the Cromlech on the right in the pass. Directed to your channel by Jason Jones, liked and subscribed. Two things, it's a Temperature Inversion, look it up and it will explain why it happens! and it's Llynau Mymbyr, but why?
