Hi, thank you for sharing your video. I am about to build the wooden frame es well and I was wondering about your comment regarding of the thickness of the frame. I was going to use a 3 cm thick one as mentioned as well. Did it just not work in your van because or would you always recommend a frame which is only 2.5 cm thick ?
Hi! I have a question. It appears in the video there’s a slight height difference between the the driver and passenger seat. Do you know of any way to rectify this?? Thanks!
Hi there... you are getting a real pro 💪 I just discovered your channel today and watching the videos in a raw... real interersting 👍 Some day you will be the one I will ask for help when my turn of building a van will come 😜
Hello there, good job ;-). I have been looking for double swivel seat for a while now. I found the same product that you installed but as i'm in canada, we drive on the left side. So i thought it wouldn't fit but seeing your video now i think it may fit. Did you use a RJCamper part that was meant for left driving config or you used the only double swivel seat that they carry? Best regard
NIce job! We are also building out a Sprinter van and are very interested in your "push to open drawer latches" We live in Virginia and can not find these on line any where. Do you have a link to them or a company/brand name that would help us find them. I am also looking for a sink and would like information on yours. Keep up the good work. You are amazing!
That's great! Sorry for late reply. The system is called Everlock. You can order it here: www.everlock.de/de/shop/shop.aspx I am not sure how much is the international shipping and if they offer it.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! It's definitely not the easiest thing I've done in my life, trying to learn how to make the furniture and catch it on camera as well, but I am trying :D enjoy the build!
Hi, I'm gradually watching all your videos and liking the two I have viewed so far. I have a question. You've used 12mm ply for the shelf, I am concerned it might bow without sufficient support above the mirror position. Did you have supports there? Is the ply just resting on the shaping? I would consider adding a support bit of timber, hidden inside the shelf area perhaps.
thanks so much! I appreciate someone is watching it :) I used 12mm plywood and was worried it would bend as well, but no it didn't and it works well. If you are planning to use the shelf for some heavier stuff I would definitely recommend putting additional support above the mirror.:)
Have watched a few of your builds. You have quality tools and seem to know how to use them. Do you have a background in construction or woodworking? Sure seems like you do.
Hey! I actually don't have any background in construction or woodworking! I learned as I started building my van, with the help of youtube :)) It was a big learning curve and I definitely made some mistakes, but I would do it again anytime :D
Hello Sandra, I was going to use actuators to. lift my solar panels but I do like your brackets, Can you let us know where yu found them, I don't see that info in your description, Thanks and nice build, Canada
Hey Hady! Thanks so much! I found the nuts in at a local shop Aluminum profile supplier - the nuts that fit into 4x4 aluminum profiles and are used to join those together fit perfectly into Sprinter rails as well! hope you find some :)
@@vanbuild9074 thanks for your reply. would be great if I can have your local store name to buy the that rail nuts. I'm desperately looking for something similar. thanks
Hey Stewart! Thanks so much! I am glad you enjoy it! I will do another video on plumbing and one separately on electrics once I finish that! Keep on watching my videos and you will find those sooner or later on my channel as well :)
I will definitely show off the whole van in the end, with all the details and tricks :D I just didn't catch that one on camera because it was too hard to film standing on a ladder trying to unfasten the screws ! :)
looking great - please be careful with machine tools and your beautiful hair !! I am sure you know what you are doing, but it looked like your hair got close to the router. . . . . .just saying that's all
Agree and I haven't even watched the vid yet lol tie it up before it literally does get tied up you don't want to be walking about with a router in your hair lol
Yes, I was one of the pioneering females in wood shops in Colorado, and altho I usually had my hair tied back, there was a time I didn’t and I needed to get my shoulder closer to my drill to push it in, and suddenly my cheekbone was on the drill… I saw some hair on the drill, and and when I ran my fingers thru my hair a whole handful came out from the roots! So 1/3 or my hair was gone and I had a smooth naked scalp! Thank goodness I could use my cowgirl hat to walk between shops, and it only took about six month to grow back to a decent length… but I was about 20 yrs old back then! Learned my lesson good! 🤠
Hey! We have a lot of requirements to make it street legal and you need to pass homologation. It is possible to get your van approved, but you have to dive into it and get informed about all tuv certifications you need and other requirements. If the conversion is done correctly and in a safe way, it is not hard to make it street legal :) But it really depends on the country, for example it's much easier to make it legal in Germany or US than my country for example.
Is this Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with the 144" wheelbase actually a 2018 model year? I know that 2018 model year Sprinters still used the previous generation NCV3 body, while yours is the current generation VS90 body, which would be the 2019-present model year.
Yes, it's a late 2018 model - came out in december 2018, so I guess it's the current generation body :) can't believe you see the difference, I don't :D
keep it up good work, try to use "aluminum cladding sheet" or "Dibond" or "aluminum composite panels" in your build. It has many names (its new thing) its very lightweight, strong and water proof Search it. good luck
