So I kind of really hope that he just came up with and belted out the whole thing on the spot. However, I also kind of hope he's been writing musicals in his spare time and if they ever come up with a decent sequel instead of hearing about Elcor Hamlet you hear about Mordins Musicals.
Not that he lived a full Salarian life-span, but if he wasn't mostly destined to die curing the Genophage then Mordin being born a Salarian and only getting to live at most 40-years with his impeccable wisdom and penchant for learning is a fucking crime.
The first time I played this game, I couldn't stop smiling for hours after hearing him break out into that song because I find it amusing since It was something I didn't expect to happen, especially from him.
"personal interest negligible" YA IS SANG A BIT WHATABOUTIT!? I love how he just dropped this line like it wasn't a big deal when this very much requires MANY questions
Ok I'm not just saying this because I'm a simp but WHY couldn't we romance mordin in the games!?!? ;-; YES I UNDERSTAND that his race doesn't understand intimacy and hormones and only breed after years of selection and it's for the purpose of furthering their race with the best biological and genetical offspring but like--he's so precious!? And it's not as if they can't experience affections and other emotions in small increments. Mordin expresses regret, guilt, and self anger when he admits he made a mistake in creating the virus that sterilizes female krogan and makes an emotionally irrational decision twice throughout the trilogy. The first one being he almost kills his student, the second is that he cures the virus at the worst time possible when the krogan might rise up and invade because of his guilt. I'm saying not being able to romance his race period is a missed opportunity. It would've no doubt been more difficult since his kind rarely seem ryme or reason for romance and we all know women want what they can't have. Hence why I simp.
Assuming the next Mass Effect isn't set hundreds of years after the Reaper war, it's gonna suck getting the crew together again only for Mordin to be absent. R.I.P Mordin you beautiful scientist Salarian😔
I do like what this says about him. Salarians are intent on making the most of their lives since they saw how long-lived everyone else was and started freaking out a bit. Most would suspect that this means they just dive full-tilt into their work as often as possible, but Mordin's appreciation for the arts shows that he understands that making someone's day brighter when you have the chance is never a waste of time. Big picture, made of little pictures.
When I know all the acids be they levo, dextro rotamers, When I tell your asari child her genes are only sort of yours, When I expound the theories that my colleagues find heretical, When I know all the finer points of therapies genetical, When I could cure your cancer with my brain just halfway functioning, When I can fix mutating cells, the point, the nondysjunctioning, In short, when I've a smattering of transgenetic strategy, You'll say another scientist has never yet been half of me! My skeptics call me mad and though they always try to censure me, And even though I'm lucky if I live just half a century, Even on my offdays I'd outdo the best Noverian, I am the very model of a scientist salarian!
I personally think Mordin's singing voice was a lot better than the in game characters gave him credit for, as he was very on tune and had a very nice voice while singing as well. I bet he would even dance better than shepard as well. 👌👌
