when he asked about the names of the soldiers who die I allways thought that escene and others a little off but bot many was a little not well done or off, now i known why
I’m making my first indie film. Is this really a 500$ camera? Great content video. I’m pretty green when it comes to all the features. This provides excellent color choices. What do you recommend for editing software and audio for dialogue? New Subscriber
I'm 42 and a grower, a graduated Greenhouse Technician. But for 20 years i've been crafting this universe i my head. I want to tell my stories. Thanks to modern programs and AI, i'm devoting myself to solely making my movies. Videos like these are great motivation, thank you.
Normal communication between dedicated professionals, opportunity for a director to define his priorities and style Comments: I’m gonna have my panties in a bunch about this!!
"INSANE?" Definition: In a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill. Canon, Sony and others are creating wonderful new cameras that surpass the need for film stock or Arri, Mitchell or Panaflex film cameras that would make it impossible for young or new filmmakers to be able to learn and experience their craft. Now anyone can take their ideas with not much more than a good camera like the one mentioned in this video, a sound package and minor lighting and computer editing and some hard work and rival anything coming out of Dead Hollywood. So why not leave the incorrect slang 'insane' comments to the uneducated street crowd, and move into speaking like a pro and being a pro. You water down your credibility before anyone has even clicked on your video. Just my opinion, with over 30 years in the film industry.
Thanks for this video bud, I was thinking of picking this one up as a cheap fluid head option for the time being, but might as well just save up and bite the bullet. I need some tension in the head and this video basically answered all my questions.
@@NatesFilmTutorials Watch "Act of Valor" shot largely on 5D 2's - rolling shutter and softness on full display, but there's something about the richness of the color that make it strangely compelling - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O0vZY0m6INU.html
If it was any other Director, the actor would just say “screw it” and then not give his best performances. Same thing happened with Harrison Ford in Return of the Jedi in which he asked the director for mor takes but the director was like “nah.” That’s why it’s such a sucky movie.
@NatesFilmTutorials my favorite is the OM 50 1.2. I like the 55mm 1.2 as well, it has way crazy bokeh. I shoot projects all the time with the 24, 50, and 85. It's an awesome look. A little slower to work with than Native lenses, but when you want that aesthetic, it's totally worth it.
@NatesFilmTutorials if you like photography, I would pick up one of their still cameras at the same time. The bundle deals are the best. OM-2s and OM 10s are pretty cheap and awesome cameras. If you're looking for a bang for the buck combo though, spend a little more for a OM 3 or OM 4 and normally you can get them with the 50 1.4. Which is not an undesirable lens. It's not S tier like the 50 1.2 but still really good.
I own a vivitar 19mm and i should probably do a good cleanup on it because its great but It blooms more that ithink It should. But great little wide angle lens anyways
Scary ah audio love the scene n effect it does to the audience, very powerful. i also lookin for a good wide lens for like vlogin showin ur face. My can is a canon eos r50. giv a hint
@@NatesFilmTutorials yessir rf 16m realiable n cheap good for face cam n some scenes and the sigma 16 will be an investment hopefully a gift i could get. Thanks
Iam thinking about purchasing one of these so called beast. Am I gonna get at least 5 more years out of it do you think with the way technology is improving, I am a novice, beginner film maker. still in school so if this isn't right for me, please let me know.
Great question! I would think about how you are planning to use it. It’s biggest flaw is not being able to do too much color grading and no slow mo option/, there are workarounds. But you can still do a lot with it. There are other cameras around this price range that may be more applicable to your use case, such as the GH5, which I’ve done a video on. Hope this helps!
@@NatesFilmTutorials and that's the issue with being new to tis industry. I have watched hour after hour of what budget camera is best for beginners yet it seems almost obsolete 6 months later because of how fast eh technology is growing. I mean these people are selling these cameras for a reason and that reason is that there old and outdated to a certain degree. Its brain overload.
@@NatesFilmTutorials I couldn’t believe it myself! Picked up a 12-35 f2.8 ver. 1 (based on your recommendation) for cheap too - $180 locally! Your GH5 videos have been a big help, thank you so much!!
on last side by side clip, s1h black isn't really black like sony, and the black looks bluish and washed out, it's lifted too much, does that how vlog work ?
I got one in the crazy sale too and love it! I do feel they are slightly different tools for different styles of shooting. Sometimes I think I need IBIS and AF, but 95% of the time I don't
I agree! I like the large screen and image flexibility for higher end shoots. I can see me using that for on set with a crew, and the A7siii as my content creation camera run n' gun
