At some point in your filmmaking career you’ll be asked to film interviews. Which requires editing down a long video clip of loose points into a short cohesive story. This tedious skillset is learned overtime, but even though I’ve editing hundreds of interviews diving into an edit it can still be a daunting task especially for those starting out it. But I recently came across an editing technique that has saved me time and energy that I use to spend early on in the process. And now I’m able to speed up my editing workflow by beginning my project with this technique. And frankly I wish I knew this earlier!
