My most horrific turbulence was Air India between Heathrow and Mumbai on a dated 777-300ER. We already had a bad experience with them and it got worse as we had massive turbulence for 2 hours, then drinks service started around 2am UK time.
I’m in India right now visiting family and I flew this route coming to India, and yea I was barely able to sleep on this flight it was daytime the entire time and at the beginning the captain tried to do everyone a favor and order all window blinds to be shut and later too! I didn’t expect it to be daytime the entire time and over the Atlantic Ocean and Europe, we were crossing from evening time to morning time lol!! I didn’t sleep much on this flight but I did on my connecting flight from Delhi to Vizag!
I watched this video for the first time around 10 years ago when you first uploaded it; and every time I’ve been preparing to go on a holiday via a flight- I always find myself coming back to your channel to watch it over and over again! Amazing video, truly!

I'm so sorry to hear about your father passing away at such a difficult time and stage. It must have been very difficult for you when you were at the airport. Did you manage to see him after?
"just had a problem with its engines"... and was examined. Best time to go, right after being inspected. Worst time would've been either on the original departure (had the problem manifested itself later) or on the previous flight. So the flight you ended up taking on it was obvjectively the safest one.
