My name is Laura Vogel and I am a fashion model and business owner from Denver, Colorado. I started my handbag brand, Vogelle, while living in Milan, Italy. I work closely with my manufacturer to produce high-quality & minimal designs for everyday. I have been lucky enough to live abroad and do a lot of international traveling through school, au pairing, and work. I started my channel to talk about entrepreneurship, travel, fashion, modeling, and more!
Wow I'm 19 I want to start a My own bag brand but my parents doesn't not prove of it but I'm still going to do it I have always dreamed of it I hope people will be able to buy My hand bags this really have inspired me even more l ❤❤ you
I want to be an au pair so bad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 did you need any prior qualifications? I’m seeing so many live in nanny positions here in the states that require a lot of qualifications it’s almost overwhelming. I have so many years of experience raising children despite not having my own, I have a passion for nurturing children but im not sure how to get started as I don’t have the money to travel overseas to a family & Americans seem to be very concerned with certifications & qualifications. 😭
Have you tried platforms like upfluence? They match brands with influencers, its a subscription model. I really like their blog, there’s lots of good info there and even outreach templates! Im just starting to research this
I dont think that working with "influencers" is good for small bussines, their rates are usually absurd as well as their demands, they tend to offer nothing on the way of analitics or real sales impact, using Google Ads or other promotion assets seem to work way better.
Cool video - was wondering if you knew how I could find an influencer whose audience complements a "business to business" service as opposed to B2C perhaps ? Thanks in advance.
Hey Laura! I wanted to ask if you could give me a deeper insight of being an au-pair without an agency. Like do I need to create a contract just to be safe? Im scared that the family will treat me badly if im not legally secured..
I was an au pair twice and decided to go without an agency both times. I feel like it both has its up and its downsides but I loved being more flexible, not having to pay any agency fees and going through an easier and quicker process. I would definitely recommend signing a contract with your host family. It’s not a must but helps to be clear and to prevent misunderstandings. Usually the family provides the contract and I would make sure that aspects like working hours, free time, tasks, pocket money etc. are clearly stated in the contract. In the end of the day it still can’t guarantee that you’re treated well. Neither can an agency though. I feel like the most important thing is listening to your gut feeling when you’re looking for a family and taking your time to decide. Have a few phone calls before choosing a family and speak to a few different ones to get a feeling for it. Ask lots of questions and talk to the previous/current au pair if you have the opportunity. Also make sure to communicate when things come up while living with your host family and know that there’s always the option to leave. They can only treat you badly if you let them. Easier said than done sometimes but an important reminder. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. Hope you’ll have a wonderful au pair experience!
I will be solo in rome from june 1-june 30. I am so nervous about doing everything alone. Any advice for a solo female traveler? (My first international trip, I might add!)
Curious, have you ever tried affiliate marketing by offering a commission with an attribution link to publishers? If so, how did that work out? Do publishers also require money upfront, in addition to receiving a percentage?
Yes, definitely. Using an affiliate model gives the influencer more of a reason to continue posting/sharing to drive that passive income. Typically, they do want an upfront payment along with the affiliate opportunity. If the influencer has a smaller audience, sometimes gifting + affiliate works too.
@@Vogel_laura Ok, perfect. Thanks so much for the detailed reply. I, too, lived and studied in Italy and I loved learning about Italian fashion and manufacturing. Kudos to you for making the most of your experience there. Good luck on your journey.
Laura I am so so so glad to see you back again and I really really missed your vlogs so so much you are my inspiration and I wish you have a blessed weekend🥹🥹💕💕
I am a 21 young woman too.. when you said that you felt nervous showing urself thinking that people wouldn't admire the idea of u being a 21 years old woman, it is literally the same issue i'm facing now! this video was really helpful, thanks! one thing i would like to know more about .. have your prices been fixed from the beginning or have you increased them gradually?
I think it would be cool to have a platform or group with small brands like us starting their business in order to help each other. In addition, it would also help prevent that isolation feeling we all get when working on our business. We should totally initiate a group so I can share things I have learned over the past 5 years and vice versa.
Thank you for all these tips. You covered lots of aspects that I wouldn't obviously know. Definitely staying around for more of such useful information.
What was that website you mentioned ? I just got my sellers permit and have my EIN and business bank account. I’ve been keeping track of all my invoices and things of purchased and funded my business with no loans lol so I want to make sure I can get back or at least write off and not pay so much in taxes 😅
New Sub!! I am releasing and launching my business in March and I want to get with influencers. But I heard they are expensive 😂 and I’ve spent too much money on what’s really truly important for my business. I was thinking influencers that I can send a gift luxury wrapped candle and wax melts, is it doable to do that ?
