Genes are indeed important; in Fu Bao you can see the strong, optimistic, brave and confident character of his father Le Bao ♡ You can also see that Fu Bao has the innocent and beautiful side of his mother Ai Bao ♡ Now Fu Bao has been away from his two grandfathers for four months! How is she doing? I can't say for sure. I just hope that my baby can live a safe and happy life in China. But...the attitude of the insiders at Shenshuping towards Fubao is indeed very imperfect! Not paying enough attention to her!
It makes me so happy to see her happily snacking on bamboo. Have a wonderful birthday, sweet girl. <3 I'm sure Le Le is looking down on you and wishing you lots of love and happiness too.
A tall and sturdy tree is not only a great shelter for pandas but also helps them exercise properly, having to use their muscles in mulptiple ways. This full body exercise can't be compared to the minimum exercise of picking some food in a tiny basket. I'd like to share a video of Ai Bao, Fu's mommy, taken in June 2017, then almost 4 years old. In the video, she explores Le Bao's yard (FYI, the yards swapped, and 'the trees for them were already bought and planted there' when they arrived in Everland in spring 2016). It's a lovely video where you can see young Ai Bao taking a stroll, eating, resting and 'climbing a tree' (in the opening, on a tree, and exploring a bigger, taller tree 4:55-10:24). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gdQV6t7MjLw.html
(continues from the comment above) Giving a tall and sturdy tree to climb and rest on to an almost grown-up or grown-up panda shouldn't be considered special treatment. We've been wondering if the decision-makers in the Shenshuping base really care about pandas, whether they really respect pandas' needs. Fu Bao is doing okay, but feeling bored and frustrated, as she hasn't been able to climb a tree for over a three month, her favourite activity in Everland. I'm sure that He He and Yi Bao will also welcome climbable trees for them. Without it, all they can do is walk around in circles or half circles, and there's little joy or glow in their eyes with the essential thing not granted. Also I have to say the animal behaviour enrichment products provided so far are below the standards in a sense that they are too small or too simple for big pandas.
