Baptism is a practice of Cleansing a man. John the Baptist baptized the people in preparation of the Coming Messiah. He need to baptized the people for them to be clean from all dirt that's in them that's in us from the beginning of life from Adam and Eve and to the time of Noah. At that time we are not deserving of God. I tell you through When we eat we make sure that the plate is clean. Because it's so shameful to Give a person in the house or any visitor the give him a plate that's dirty for dine. And so we wash our dishes so that it's pleasing to the person who will eat. Now it's good to eat with a plate that's clean and very nice to give it to your visitor or the people in the house. And so as to Jesus John the Baptist make sure that the plate that's us is clean for the coming of Christ the one whose going to eat or our visitor. So that we may become deserving for him even though still we are not but at least we have been wash.

I shut this video off within the first minute, right after your ridiculous proclamation that being born again means being baptized "the Bible way". NO. We are EXPLICITLY told we are born again by the WORD OF GOD (1 Peter 1) and that can only occur by faith when we hear the "foolishness of preaching". (I trust you know the verse?). Well of course you don't. Suffice to say, you are easily debatable and would not rise to the level of winning any debate with someone armed with the facts.

Augustine also taught, “It is this one Spirit who makes it possible for an infant to be regenerated . . . when that infant is brought to baptism; and it is through this one Spirit that the infant so presented is reborn. For it is not written, ‘Unless a man be born again by the will of his parents’ or ‘by the faith of those presenting him or ministering to him,’ but, ‘Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit’ [John 3:5]. Please pray for them, brothers and sisters! It's not our rights to blame, for they don't understand and I think that deep inside, they're genuine in wanting to save us all from the evil. The judgments came out of their mouths because of not understanding and ignorance. It hurts. But all what we can do is to pray for them.

Amen and God bless. There are two baptism' you must have and Ezekiel 36:25-27 explains this the best. When you are baptized with water you will receive your spirit from God in the last days and those who hear the word of God (by he who God sends) will receive the holy Ghost and this is when you and the Father become as one and are now the Temple of God and then you shall be quickened. We are given the grace through baptism but we also need to receive it. So unless we actively want to live from that grace it can't fully work in our lives. That's why even baptized Christians can live as if they weren't born again.

It's because most people are taking up the bible to read it for the wrong reasons. To debunk the Catholic church is not the right reason to read the bible. The bible i am sure was meant to unify us through the word but many are looking to it to drive further division. Sad.

Our parish still prays for souls in Purgatory. It will soon be All Souls Day {Nov 2, this comment was written on Sept 30] so perhaps you could do a talk on the importance of this day nearer the time. I went to Mass last Nov 2 and it was very solemn with violet vestments, quite a contrast to the joyful feast on the previous day. It is also customary to keep the whole month of November in memory for the departed. Here in England we have a Remembrance Book placed in the Church during Nov for people to write the names of their departed family and friends who are prayed for at Holy Souls Masses offered throughout the month.

Wrong video, don't blabber about something if you can't define it. What is baptism? Is it dipping a newborn baby in water like a teabag? Or is it a conscious choice made by a person capable of thinking that decided to give their life to Jesus Christ? If it was that easy to go to heaven, that easy to be saved, most people would have went to heaven but the Bible says otherwise ("narrow is the path to salvation"). May God bless you and correct you, before you deceive more people!

C atholic truth, Catholics aren't born again. You hypocrite, it's you Catholics who don't know what born again means.. The water in Jn 3: 5. Isn't water baptism, Jesus didn't mention water until Nicodemus said how can a person enter his mother's womb a second time and be born again,so Jesus said just like you had a physical birth when your mother's WATER broke, you need to be born again. Stop twisting the scriptures. Please keep it in it's right context. The Bible teaches three Christian baptisms, The rebirth, the baptism with the Holy Ghost and Water baptism. and you have to know which baptism which scriptures is talking about, and Rom 6: 3-- 4. Col 2 : 12 Gal 3: 27 aren't taking about water baptism. For you to say it is, is to say water is greater than the Holy Spirit. Peter didn't say baptism saves, in 1 Pet 3: 21, he said it's a figure of salvation, and the Biblical Greek proves it by saying that water baptism is a figure of salvation, NOT the medium by which we are saved. Peter knew that water baptism doesn't save, so why would he say it does?. Water baptism doesn't make a person a new creature in Christ. Stop twisting the scriptures. Forget what erroneous people have said about baptism. Nowhere does the Biblical Greek say water baptism saves, remits sins, washes sins away, regenerates, puts people into the body of Christ, or is needed for salvation. The translators have misled Biblically ignorant people with scriptures on baptism. You haven't had an experience with Jesus, stop telling lies you naughty man. If you ever have an experience with Jesus you wouldn't believe what the erroneous Catholic Church teaches. No born again Christian would ever become a Catholic, and no Catholic who hears the Biblical gospel and gets saved, will, ever stay a Catholic.

Do the catholics really know the way of baptism? Does a baby really have to be baptized? For everyone who partakes only of milk is is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. Hebrew 5:13 How can a babe discern righteousness if he is unskilled in the word of God? And a child is the heir of heaven.Romans 8:17 Matthew 19:13-14 And how can a children be born again if he has no discernment or knowledge about good and evil, right or wrong? John 3:2-3-4-5-6-7/ Acts 8:34-35-36-37-38 God did not impute sin on the children and do not need to be baptized in water and spirit.

Born from above with SPIRIT and WATER. That's the very definition of Baptism. "Are you born again-the way the Bible understands that concept?" If the Evangelical has not been properly water baptized, he has not been born again "the Bible way," regardless of what he may think. The Born Again Movement traces its origin early in the 19th century.Born Again Movement arrived at our shores in the late 1930’s and gained its popularity in the 70’s and 80’s which is considered the golden era of Born Again Movement During these years membership in various Born Again Churches increased because they where able to infiltrate mainline Protestant Churches and had lured nominal Catholics into their fold. However their steady growth ceases starting the year 1990 and their membership declined in the succeeding years. In the year 2000 Born Again Churches from the United States sent their missionaries in the Philippines to re-established the Born Again Movement and this time their primary mission is no longer to infiltrate Protestant and Catholic Churches but targeted the youth in schools particularly college students.Born Again evangelist does not want to discuss the history of the Christian church, in their Bible studies with their prospects, they intentionally limit the discussion to the Bible alone. They conceal the history of the Christian religion because it will show that their movement did not originate from the apostles. It is necessary for them to negate history because St. Paul warned us not to accept teachings that did not originate from the apostles Gal.1:8 and Born Again Movement evidently cannot trace the history of their church into the time of the apostles.Clearly Born Again evangelization has deception as its chief foundation and they even used selected passages from the Bible to deceive people. They usually start evangelizing by asking ambiguous questions such as “Are you saved?” or “Are you born again?”, if the person answers “no or I don’t know” they will tell you that you must accept Christ as a Lord and Personal Savior in order to be born again otherwise you will be damned to hell. And if the person will answer “yes” they will invite you to their church and worship with them. And if the person is a Catholic that would mean that you have to leave the Catholic Church and do away your Catholic beliefs about Mary, the Saints, confession etc. Let us be vigilant not to fall to the snares of the Born Again movement.

Our Initial Justification is always a pure act of Grace by God. That is why we Catholics can baptize infants (and why in the OT babies were circumcized) because there is absolutely NOTHING required of us to receive that initial justification. Ironically it is the Baptists and other non-caths who put conditions on our initial salvation; such as you must believe, you must make an act of faith, you must call on the name of Jesus, etc. etc. Any sect which makes a 'must' claim is a works-based religion whether they admit it or not; because they place some requirement on the part of the believer for justification to come to them.

What kind of baptism are you talking about? Baptism of John the Baptist or baptism of the Holy Spirit as clearly distinguished from each other in Acts 19. The sacrament of baptism is water baptism and this baptism is not the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In order to "be born again" as our Lord Jesus Christ graciously taught us in John 3, you should meet resurrected Christ in person (like the Apostles and other saints in the Bible) and receive an opportunity to repent of every sin that you have knowingly or unknowingly committed before. When you meet him in such a manner, you come to repent thoroughly without missing any sins committed thus far because Christ will remind you of every sin you committed. You need to carefully read every relevant Bible passage and humbly pray to God before you propagate your incorrect ideas of being born again. I pray that you don't mislead innocent Catholics and yourself depriving them of a chance of being saved.

They can be if they put their faith and trust in Jesus! Not in the sacraments, or Mary, or the catechism or the Vatican. Salvation comes through Jesus alone. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh into the Father, but by me. (Jhn 14:6)

Many Protestants believe that Christ paid for all your sins, past ,present and future by his blood on the Cross, and this is all we need for salvation. If that is true, then why would God institute the Sacrament of Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.? I might be wrong but i think Christ died so that our sins could be forgiven, and we once more had the right to enter heaven.Baptism is the first road that leads to salvation. If a Christian has a prejudice against something in the Bible no amount of reasoning will get through to that person. Sadly, this is what most Protestants have become.

Catholic friends, Jesus said you must be born again if you want to enter the kingdom of heaven. What does this mean? It is not by being baptized as a baby with water but by coming to Jesus in repentance and faith in his work of redemption on the cross that the Spirit is given. The Holy Spirit of the Father, which comes from the Father is promised to all those who believe and repent, John 7:37-39 teaches this, it is not by humans that this happens, it is completely the will of the Father as we exercise faith by looking at Jesus’s death on the cross for us.

Thank you for the comment friend. But unfortunately, for 2000 years in Christian history it's meant baptism. In addition to faith, the Bible also says we need to be baptized. That's what it means to be born again - by water and the Spirit (Jn. 3:3-5). All the earliest Christians have always seen Jn. 3:5 as a reference to baptism. Nowhere does it say it's just an outward symbol or a mere public declaration. Rather, Jesus said whoever has faith AND is baptized will be saved (Mk. 16:16). Likewise, in Acts 2:38, when people ask Peter exactly what they need to do to be saved, he says they need to repent and be baptized for the Forgiveness of their sins. 1 Timothy 2:11-12 says we must _die_ with Christ in order to live with him. Scripture says this happens through baptism (See Col. 2:11-12). We also see this in Romans chapter 6:1-11 where it says that we are buried with Christ and born again to new life through baptism. It also says we are justified. BORN AGAIN! :)

when a child dies he will go straight into heaven, because? he has no knowledge of Good and evil, When babies, young children, and those with unique needs die; they are with the Lord immediately (2 Corinthians 5:8, Luke 23:43). God is not silent on this topic. Scripture speaks. Therefore, you can know with absolute confidence that you did not “lose” your baby, child, or loved one with unique needs. And the Cattolic church is wrong to baptize them at a very young age. what does a baby of six month knows about sin? I believe young children's should be dedicated to the Lord, but not baptized, because they don't have knowledge of good and evil. In saying that? they have no sins, but ones they have knowledge, then they can be come born again Christians, and in doing so? they will receive the Holy Spirit. and also have a good knowledge of the Bible. Because ones you have the Spirit? the Spirit will guide you into all truths. Acts 2:38-39 NIV Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift. God bless

Complete misrepresentation of the scriptures. The bible teaches us to repent and be baptized and make disciples. Nowhere in scripture does it teach that an infant is aware or can make that conscious decision to repent and be baptized. By this logic can an infant that is baptized in the catholic church who later grows up and becomes an atheist who willfully rejects Christ does this mean he's saved because he was baptized catholic as a child? I'd like to ask you a simple question. Can you present the Gospel to me? Let's say I've never believed or been baptized and I'm dying of a terminal illness. I have weeks to live. What must I do to be saved? What is the Gospel?

The thief of the cross wasn't baptized, but still saved.; Luke 23:39-43 King James Version 39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Being born again means being reborn of the Spirit. That is the baptism they are speaking of. Acts 1:5 ESV For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 1 Corinthians 12:13 ESV For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves or free-and all were made to drink of one Spirit. Luke 3:16 ESV John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. and please stop spreading false information. I have never heard any one say we have to be baptized in amitotic fluid. Your pulling that from the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemous. When He ask Jesus if he had to crawl back into his mothers womb to be re-born. John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?.

No, not according to Scripture and Christian history/teaching for 2000 years. Paul did baptize actually, but not normally. His charism was preaching. Other people baptized for him. Similar to priests who preach today but have the deacons to baptisms. Paul himself says we are born again from death to life through baptism (Rom. 6:1-11)

Thanks for the comment. The thief on the cross is a poor example which doesn't prove anything, mostly because Jesus had not died or risen from the dead yet. Therefore, the thief was still under the Old Testament law. After all, the New Testament church with the ordinaces, including baptism, had not started yet. Pentecost had not happened. So again, the theif is not a good example because he's not held to the same New Testament standards or teachings we are. Plus, the Catholic Church teaches that if you have a deathbed conversion, you can still be saved.

James 2:24 NOT saved by faith alone. Mk 16v16. Faith AND baptism. Again, not faith alone. False man-made tradition. Of course we are saved by Christ and his death and resurrection, but he saves us through baptism. He regenerates us by his Spirit. And if your faith does not have works it's not saving faith. Bible says it's dead faith which doesn't save.

I have a non denominational friend and he will sort of agree that baptism is part of born again, but they will Insist that mostly it's some inner thing, and your not saved unless that inner thing happens. He tells me how born again chrisitans are the true chrisitans and they are people from any denomination that is born again. He tells me that most likely I'm born again but he's not 100 percent sure, because I still have catholic stuff. It's very weird that they turn born again into this very secretive thing that it's really hard to tell if someone is born again and you can't really know. And the church is invisible. He also tells me that you can lose your salvation he tells me it's not once saved always saved. But he also says that if your born again truly you won't lose your salvation. The way he describes it, its exactly like once saved always saved. How would you respond.

@kurtisanderson6690 yes the catholic church beleives that faith is the gateway to everlasting life, just not faith alone, and neither does john 6 or paul say that faith alone, it says faith just not alone. We do beleive we are sealed to the day of redemption. Let me give you catchism quotes not because it's greater then the word of God because it's not, but to show that we beleive this. As for the catholics you talked to most likely you both beleive in the bible verses but understand them differently. Here are the paragraphs that literally saying the same thing as the bible. Believing in Jesus Christ and in the One who sent him for our salvation is necessary for obtaining that salvation.* “Since ‘without faith it is impossible to please [God]’ and to attain to the fellowship of his sons, therefore without faith no one has ever attained justification, nor will anyone obtain eternal life ‘but he who endures to the end.’”* - I Believe, CCC 161 The Holy Spirit has marked us with the seal of the Lord (“Dominicus character”) “for the day of redemption.”* “Baptism indeed is the seal of eternal life.”* The faithful Christian who has “kept the seal” until the end, remaining faithful to the demands of his Baptism, will be able to depart this life “with the sign of faith,”* with his baptismal faith, in expectation of the blessed vision of God-the consummation of faith-and in the hope of resurrection. - The Sacrament of Baptism, CCC 1274 The only thing we would disagree with is Baptism but according to the bible Baptism is apart of faith. Baptism is the sacrament of faith. (He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. - Mark 16:16) But faith needs the community of believers. It is only within the faith of the Church that each of the faithful can believe. The faith required for Baptism is not a perfect and mature faith, but a beginning that is called to develop. The catechumen or the godparent is asked: “What do you ask of God’s Church?” The response is: “Faith!” - The Sacrament of Baptism, CCC 1253

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.' But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified." Natural water is natural; spiritual water is of the Holy Spirit. 'Spirit and water' does not mean Spirit and natural water. It means the water of the Spirit of God (living water). Too many interpret the 'water' part of 'Spirit and water' to be natural water. One is truly born again when he or she is baptized in the Holy Spirit (Spirit and living water). Do we obey Jesus to be baptized in natural water? Yes, indeed. However, going through the motions to be baptized in natural water does not necessarily promise one truly becoming born again. "God looks on the heart..."
