I am not sure if you will read this given it is 3 years since you did the vlog and I have only watched in 2023 but I found it very enlightening. Looking for a travel journal which every member of my family can use as we are planning to go to Japan sometime this year and the idea of a travel journal came to mind so I thought I would do the research. Looks like the Nuuna is the one to go for as it will suit our needs perfectly. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. See you out there!
I like to dive into one world and story and finish it as soon as I can then dive into another story .. idk.. I wanna read more then one book but so used to reading one at a time
I didnt grow up loving books...but i know i need to learn more so i need to read more...trying to build a new habit and mindfully opening my heart to this world of knowledge...
Good job. Doing something similar but digital with my iPad and apple pencil. I'm a tech guy so for me can only be like this but I really enjoy watching this kind of work.
My first book was South of the border west of the sea... Now I am reading Kafka on the shore... I really can't get into other writer's work after after reading his work😭... So better continue with his book.. I love it tbh
I love weird! Wind Up Bird was my first. If someone is interested in Murakami, why start with a more ‘vanilla’ novel? I’d say jump into a weird one and see what he can do!
for somebody who has a short-attention span, I often read five-to-seven books at once. (and i don't annotate.) - timers are really great. i set out a timer, (may it also be a stopwatch) for an hour or perhaps two, and write the most important details of that book (comprehending is imperative, otherwise it would be as if you didn't read the book at all). after that, i switch to another book, and it all goes on consistently. - i also tend to read a short-paced & bulky books at first, then switch to another one that is easier to comprehend & one that moves faster. - whenever i'm occupied (eating, running, etc.) i hearken audiobooks. i've also been trying to read all of my school books at once. and, for people that struggle with it, don't pressure thyself into reading more. it isn't always beneficial nor healthy to read a lot at once.
If you need more examples on travel journals, then maybe this blog post could help: dreamtravelingforlife.com/blog/f/11-travel-journals-small-enough-to-fit-in-your-bag-small-journal
I tryed 2 physical books two ebooks and one audiobook great, so I throught, but it started to feel like I was forgetting ha;f of it and going off trying to read multiple books so I whent back to reading one book at a time, so the now I’m reading two books at a time on my iPad e-reader and listening to one audiobook I use from RU-vid, maybe I should build them up that way like do two ebooks and one amber audiobook because my iPad ebook appt says current and recent so that can help me keep trade of what I’m reading on there, I started reading on and off my whole life then I whent into a reading slump for years I never whant to go back into that, so it was since 2020 because of this pandemic got me back into reading, I mean I’m buying physical books faster than I can read them lol and cost of living here in the uk is hard well we’re luck we’re not rich but we can still afford it me and my mum long story, so with me just starting trying to read multiple books a year or two and trying to read 3 physical books, two ebooks and one audiobook, do you think I’m over wheal, ing myself and should stick to 2 ebooks and one audiobook snd one physical book the now, because I do have. Ore fantasy genre type books a medium sized thriller bundle of books and less misalanus genres so my physical type formatted books are uneven.
I’m halfway through Wind-up Bird Chronicle. I love the unpredictability and highly imaginative storyline. Especially the exploration of the meaning and depth of life and death. Also, the very flawed aspects of being a human life form.
So, if instead of fish falling from the sky, it was turtles, and if instead of talking cats, it was talking dogs, would it make any difference? If not, why fish? Why cats? What is the meaning of these symbols. If it is completely opaque I have no use for it.
A blogger in a post-zombie world sniffing out conspiracies of evil corporations and government bodies? Yuck. "The girl with all the gifts" had a strong beginning, but it just completely fell apart immediately after, and all the characters were one trick ponies. Bit of a waste. They should have realized, been in general more competent and used the kids as weapons... Now that would be something that what ever the main adult's name was could have objections about.
i usually do two books: one literary novel or collection of essays that i want to take my time with and read slowly, and one fun thriller or romance or whatever i’m feeling like
I feel comfortable reading physical books during daylight times and ebooks during night times, I’m 40 years old and I’m used reading one book at a time, maybe one day i will progress to reading more than two a day, I wonder how many people feel the same way when just starting out reading multiple books?
I see you have kitchen and the devotion of suspect X. Hopefully your love of Japanese fiction is still going on with convenience store woman and before the coffee gets cold. Thank you for your posts
When reading multiple books how do you read a memoir or an autobiography as part of the reading multiple book challenge? I know how it’s done not someone told me think it as my fav programs on tv is it done the same way for memoirs and autobiography’s?
If I read multiple books at once, it’s usually bc they are non-fiction about the same topic. Right now I’m reading about the inequality of wealth distribution and Im reading several ideas about it from different authors.
Murakami's books give me a feeling I can't describe or find in any other author's works. Every Murakami you read feels like coming home to a surreal world that feels weirdly like home. Kafka on the Shore is my favorite, maybe because it was the first one of his works that I read, it introduced me to his magical world.
I’m just new to reading multiple books at once and i am not much of a audiobook person well maybe I should give it a go sometime, when I first trued reading multiple books at once I was reading three physical type books and an ebook in one day, and getting middles and that might be a bit steep for me? So I through to two physical books and one ebook I’m the same day but that may still be a bit steep for me, so I throught I might just read one physical type book and one ebook at night because my bedroom lighting is not all that good the now and daylight is the best light to read. So so you think it’s best if I just stick to the physical book type and one ebook type for now and build it up from there?
I'm up to reading 12 books at the same time. Read non-fiction, not fiction, and read books that actually interest you. Then you need to order the books in such a way that stacks the knowledge sequentially and logically. Compounding your gains is the most important principle when reading any book. If it's truly a valuable book, you'll love to read it again and again. It's all about learning how to learn and synthesizing knowledge.
AKSHUALLY THAT CANT BE DONE ITS FISICLY IMPOSIBLE TO DO THAT ALL AT WONCE YOR JOOST A LYAR AND KON MEN DONT START ON ME JOOST BEKAWS YOR GELUS OFF MAI BREKDANSING SCILS
I just finished INTO THE DROWNING DEEP... not a zombie book, but a horror by Mira Grant. Got any deep ocean horror novels you'd recommend? Cheers for the zombie novel recommendations.
