FEED is one of my favourite books of all time but so far I've been leaving a year between sequels! I still have to read Black Out because it's so intense and impactful. I love zombie books, great recommendations Tamsien!
Have you read the ‘Until the end of the World’ series by Sarah Lyons Fleming? The best zombie/PA books I’ve ever read and among my top favorite books ever! (Out of over 600 books read). My god the woman made me fall in love with those characters so deeply that I still miss them over a year later. That’s why I’m here... fruitlessly searching for a book that might fill the whole the ‘UTEOFW’ series left behind...😭

Thanks a lot for your recommendation! I am going to visit a local bookstore tomorrow, I just did not know which book I wanted to buy. I think I am just going to buy the whole newsflesh trilogy instead of just one of them. I love zombies in general, but I have never actually read a book with zombies and zombie apocalypses in it. Just maybe, I will look into World War Z too.
I almost forgot, but your enthousiasm about zombies opened up a new "world" for me I think. You see, I have never actually read a zombie (apocalypse) themed book, but I think it will be one of my favorite sub-genres, because it already is when it comes to horror movies. Your enthousiasm for the sub-genre s probably dragging me over the insane reading slump I have at the moment. :)

I just finished INTO THE DROWNING DEEP... not a zombie book, but a horror by Mira Grant. Got any deep ocean horror novels you'd recommend? Cheers for the zombie novel recommendations.

A blogger in a post-zombie world sniffing out conspiracies of evil corporations and government bodies? Yuck. "The girl with all the gifts" had a strong beginning, but it just completely fell apart immediately after, and all the characters were one trick ponies. Bit of a waste. They should have realized, been in general more competent and used the kids as weapons... Now that would be something that what ever the main adult's name was could have objections about.
I'm not the biggest zombie fan out there, and I'm glad I didn't know The Girl with All the Gifts was about zombies or I wouldn't have been as inclined to read it. It was great to put the pieces together and I loved it!
