I've had the Chigee fitted for over a week now and I can safely say that for navigation it's completely useless, the screen is just too small and it's near impossible to follow maps on it, it's like going back 20 years to the first satnavs with their tiny screens. I liked the idea of having the navigation, music and cameras all in one unit but because of the small screen I wish now I'd gone for the bigger screened Carpuride and a separate dashcam system; or even just kept my Garmin XT and a separate Dashcam system. The Chigee also doesn't seem to have any stabilisation on the video so when you get moving the video quality drops considerably, it looks like the GOpro is going to have to go back on the bike.
This was my first bike in 2017. It was a fun bike. Plenty of power for a beginner but I outgrew it within 3 years. My only complaints were the seat being absolutely horrible and I could never find an exhaust that I really liked. I ended up keeping the Vance and Hines in the end. Own a Triumph Speed Twin now. Very happy to have had the Rebel as my introduction to motorcycling
4:36 engine is protuding like a prolapsed rectum and somehow gets in the way of riding ergonomics but I guess its okay since its a Honda brand and not a Chinese bike. 😏
kinda miss my honda rebel. this was my first big bike. sa lahat ng gusto mag honda rebel go for it promise this will be the bike that you will always miss. watched this video even if nagka rebel na ako noon. best things about the rebel based on experience: 1. pinaka lightest clutch ever promise pinaka magaan. mas magaan pa kesa sa sniper155 2. masarap pakinggan ang exhaust. (best exhaust ay Diablo bom and yung vance and hince) yan dalawa pinaka the best 3. starts off as a heavy bike pero gagaan after a week.(speaking from me na galing sa KLX na sobrang gaan) 4. maraming maraming parts available(modification and accessories) 5. at high rpm maririnig mo na lalabas ang CBR spirit nya hahaha (same engine kase sa cbr500) 6. sobrang reliable ng bike. really a good beginner bike kase di madali masira if lage kang nagkakamali all in all very forgiving bike. 7. tipid sa gas pde na daily driver. 8. kahit na sabihin nila na beginner bike di ka parin mabibitin sa power CONS: 1. akala mo marami chix magkakagusto pero in reality barumbadong mga lalake lalapit sayo at magpapapicture sa bike mo 2. might be madaling ma outgrow kase sa sobrang dali nya i drive feeling mo masarap na mag upgrade (can also a good kase pag tingin mo sa marketplace marami 2nd hand namababa mileage so dont have to buy a brand new bike)
Local brand, genuine leather, practical design comfy. I'll buy one in the near future, the combat boots that I've been using is just to stiff for me 👍💪
the only thing na hindi ko gusto sa rebel is yung looks talaga.... di ko trip yung napaka habang fuel tank nya medyo napapangitan ako sakanya dahil sa tank....
the rebel 500 is a terrible first bike. In fact, it's a terrible bike. FOR SOME. Why all of you people give recommendations like this, when you need to take into account so many different other aspects, like: height, sex, weight, constitution, age, where tf in the world are you etc. I can't ride the rebel. My legs are too long for this bike. I sit really badly. On top of that, you can't really hug the tank due to it's bad design. It doesn't even have traction control. I'm fed up with these recommendations based on... nothing.
best reviews in my opinion. you show yourself from the side while riding, unlike most reviewers who stick camera on the helmet. Way more informative this way.
Back from the BRINK ?????? a 660cc anything, heck a 125cc scooter would be a BFD to Filipinos.... back from the brink .. from the 147 hp 78ft lb torque Triumph Daytona triple 955i, to the 118HP Daytona 675 ... to this.. what 100hp @ crank 660 "Daytona" a useless non-adjustabe forks, barely useless shock.. the body work, fasteners are cheap looking... I own a 2005 Daytona 955.. and it's absolutely easy peasey to ride.... cheap plenty of parts still available as it's shares parts w/ > 2010 Speed Triple.. It's doesn't compare to my 2003 999 w/ FBF prepped 102mm overbore kitted testastretta 149rwhp, 86 ftlbs full aftermarket Ohlins.. Marchesnini kompe wheels, full Termignoni exhaust ..but the Daytona 955i can be had in mint condition for less than $4000 to 3500 or less.. To badge this POS 660 in the iconic "Daytona' name.. which won a few IOMTT supersport races... is a CRIME.. is a kick in the teeth to Triumph Daytona owners ... What a piece of ever loving junk ..
If we talk about the brand...no question! Honda is excellent! But what i don't like rebel are these: 1. Chain drive (cruiser is best in belt drive). 2. Tank capacity(11 ltrs is too small). 3. 180 degree krankshaft (270 is my preference or v-twin) I'm particular with exhaust sound. 4. Non USD fork. I'd rather buy the coming benda chinchilla 450. The only edge rebel has against benda chinchilla is the brand. But everything rebel is far behind in every aspects. Looks and features are all for chinchilla 450.
China Bikes, look also the Brenda or Keeway "Chinchilla 450cc" have 50HP looks good, not much Money, a Rebel 500cc is much more Money, but the Problem for China bikes they Drink much fuel, the Rebel or other Japan Bikes 4 - 5 Liter on 100 km
