The girl taps the guy on the shoulder at the end- Like a reminder, right? I just liked the movie and thought it was a corny way to jazz up a routine tip for MPC users.
Is your output routing set to your interface or the Kronos? I’m wondering or wanting to use Logic Pro X to access audio outputs 1-4 of the Kronos to route audio out of Logic. Is this something you believe is possible?
First, when editing keygroup parameters, make sure you select ALL keygroups. When you press a pad on the MPC it allows you to edit just the one sample for that note you’re playing. Second, it may be easier to sample it without the filter swell and instead do that in the MPC and have legato on. There may be more advanced ways to achieve it with velocity layers where low velocity notes play the second half of the sample without the swell, so you can play hard when you want a swell and soft when you want it to play smoothly. Third, when all groups are selected go to the main page and set polyphony to mono.
Hi and thanks for sharing your perspective/knowledge. I'm attempting to take advantage of audio outputs 1 - 4 on the Kronos 2 using Logic Pro X, much in the same way you did. However... Within Logic Pro X, I only have access to outputs 1 - 2 of the Kronos. How were you able to access outputs 3 - 4 of the Kronos within Logic Pro X?
So my setup does the opposite of yours almost. When I add a new external midi track into logic I can hear the sound and everything when I press keys on the piano and I am able to do this WITh OUT record enabled on logic, I even can hear myself playing while I record. However, during playback I can't hear anything. Im a little confused on what this could be and I am using a Presonus Audiobox interface connected to my Kronos via two midi connections. Do you think you could help me with this?
Hi, I'm guessing you figured this one out but I had to have the midi track highlighted and the audio track record armed. Hit R for record and the audio track should turn red and write the audio. When you are done, Mute the midi track and Playback should just play the audio track then. You set the audio track in the "external device" window. If you don't mute the midi track you get a "double". If you have the audio track volume up when tracking you also get a "double". Weird.
Most useful thanks. I may give it one more go , having wasted 5 hours this afternoon getting nowhere. Normally I just record audio directly into my trusty 20 year old Yamaha aw16 g which works flawlessly. Trouble is i understand neither kronos nor logic, so trying to get them to work together is a very long shot. Thanks again.
Greatly appreciated! Any light thrown on how to marry kronos and logic greatly appreciated. Love the crazy music. Kronos and logic enough to drive anyone nuts! Had it for years , still no clue how to use it. Just way too complex but I love the interactive Karma, so organic. Thanks again. Subd.
