QU-bit Mojave - DIY Modular case from EastBeast Parts - Working - Sound Demo - “I Spoke to God” 7:02min
Parts: Old computer IDE ribbon cable, 2 paperclips, wooden box from the tip. EastBeast (others?)
I never wanted a modular system but was so impressed with the Mojave demos I had to try it.
I wish Mojave came in a desktop module. Here’s a possible workaround.
Gutted the EB case to make a DIY supply for both the Qu-bit and the EB on the cheap.
Also: Address a noise issue which was easily resolved. It’s worth noting the Mojave was driving two channels- EACH of 15’ (4.5m) guitar cable at the time. Wow.
0:00 Show the homebrew modular synthesizer “case”.
1:30 Address noise issue.
2:50 Nondescript fumbling Demo of Mojave.
4:30 Case shown in context with other handsome “woodbox motif” pieces.
5:27 Unnecessary explanation of the USB update process for modifying default settings in the Mojave. Indistinct rambling,.. I get confused about the onboard microphone,..
6:48 Demo song and Stunning Video of the EastBeast into Moog MuRF into Mojave into a Vongon Polyphrase. This was done before I figured out the gain staging and tidied up the wiring for this setup so there’s some noise in it. The video is from another session so the music has nothing to do with what’s on the screen but it’s the same basic process at present.
Mojave is a definite keeper for me.
