I don’t understand why there are only 10 comments for possibly the most beautiful arrangement and performance of “Have yourself….” Who does the arrangements?
So cool ! many good memories ....... I will never forget seeing You the first time in germany decades ago, and th eunforgettable session in Lüneburg with my group ARTMEN and VoKal ToTal in 1997 !
I sang this in jazz choir last year and all I remember from it was my low bass self having the worst strain on my voice from singing this damn tenor part. I also got to sing at a tops which was the one of the highlights of that year
Having spent more than 40 years in vocal music myself, I found you 17 years ago. I still lay myself humbly at your feet in awe of your talents. Some might argue Theseus theory that since the present group no longer has any of the founding members it is no longer the real Real Group. I find however that as members come and go, the Real Group does not shrink; It expands. And stands today as strongly and talented as ever. Thank you for 40 years of music.
As a youngster in the 90's exploring the magic of vocal chamber music, The REAL GROUP has been one of my role models, my go-to feel-good music especially when I needed to simply smile, the gold standard so to speak (alongside The King Singers, Chanticleer, The Swingles & few more others). Two EGPs and a Grammy later, I never ceased to listen to you guys. One of my most memorable moment was when I was in Stockholm on a concert tour almost two decades ago, I was browsing through your CDs at a concert hall gift shop and found your latest album (In the Middle of Life). As I was paying for the cd I had a little chat with the manager and told him that you guys were one of my favorites. Long story short, I ended up getting the cd for free and was told to consider it as a "gift" from the group. Truly an unforgettable experience. I could never thank you enough for inspiring choir nerds like me. I wish I can see you live in your upcoming reunion concert. Thank you for being a part of my musical journey. Tack så mycket!
If you ever need a Baritone (Low D to high G and C in Falsetto) please feel free to contact me. Anders was my Inspiration to train the lower octave. "Run run run" was my goal. I am into acappella since 20 years. Love your work! Maybe you could visit Gustav Klingt! My recent acappella Group! www.youtube.com/@GUSTAVKLINGT_acappella
Guys, I LOVE your music and wish you many more years of success, new covers, new arrangements, new songs, new interesting projects and unique memories! Ja, må ni leva!!!!!! Greetings from a Bulgarian fan!
This was really a great walk down memory lane! 😃 From the first LP with you I bought, Nothing but the Real Group, to listening so much to the one’s that came in the 90’s and seeing you live in Stockholm 😊 Still very much enjoying your voices, musicality and humour when seeing and hearing those songs and performances again! Thank you for it all! 💕
