Hi! I recently found you and subscribed. After testing different products, which works best for your curls? I've been following Live Love Locks and love his new shampoo. He's helped me a lot when I want to blow dry and straighten my hair. Now I want to practice with my natural curls. Do you have a best practice between washes for your curls? Thank you for your help!! ❤️

Courtney, Bless YOU! Thank you for sharing your story and being so honest. Mine mirrors yours in many aspects. I am just starting my journey on finding out what doctors can do about this disease. I have had it for over 20 years and just dealt with it as it gets worse and worse. I have had 2 frozen shoulders, and the worse case of Shingles my Doctor had ever seen while on this journey of chronic pain. I look forward and am hopeful to find some relief, because I still have so much to do in this life of mine. I too feel lost if I am not in control of every possible thing that could happen. And within the last 2 years I have turned back to Christ.....because it feels right and I am also learning much on that journey too. I thought everyone felt this pain and it was just what happened when one gets older. Mine started in my mid to late 30s and now at 57 is 24 hours of pain that never goes below a 4 on the 1-10 scale. My flares have recently changed from just attacking the joints to attacking the muscles, organs, and eyes. And yes in the last year I have shoulders that are in constant pain. but I just pushed thru while munching on Ibuprofen. If you find any thing that does help as you did this bath.....please share....you are appreciated and I am sorry that we share this condition. In my journey if I should find anything that works I will be sure to share with you. I remain hopeful because it is better than the alternative. Oh...I have to have orthotics in my shoes.....THANK GOD for them. Otherwise I wouldn't be walking today. And yes I have noticed how the stress pushes it over the edge....of course it would. Because with RA our bodies are already in an attack mode and when we put stress (the fight or flight mode of the adrenals) on top of the TCells going wild it is a recipe that lands me in bed and munching on 6 IBPFN just to be able to hobble to work. Thanks again! And thank you for having a good attitude....it is the best thing we can do!

I might because of the filter was blocked, clean it, it probably work again. You know ,once the filter is blocked, insufficient air intake will cause the temperature goes too high, and the overheat protection of the hair dryer will stop it from working

I am watching this video for the third time in 2 weeks and thanks SO MUCH for mentioning transition. I'm very new into my curly girl journey and it seems like my curls just want to be stringy. I needed that reminder that it will just take time and patience in the beginning to get the results that I want. Thanks so much for putting things into perspective for me!!!

I'm 42yo and last week had an epiphany about my hair.... it''s not straight but I always thought it was. 🤯 I have 1b curl pattern, which is why I have an odd flip at the end that flips different directions though the rest is mostly straight. My hair is shoulder length, thin, and fine, and now I look in the mirror and acknowledge and appreciate my curl pattern rather than my hair that never lays straight. Your last point really resonates with me. I feel so much lighter not being frustrated with my hair but embracing what God gave me. I've always wanted pretty hair but never wanted to invest much time. I'm considering CG to see what is possible. I appreciate your insight! ❤

@ThisIsNotMyHome

I'm VERY limited on what i can even get for my hair due to not only being low porosity and fine, but I'm VERY scent sensitive, AND low income.. it's like what the heck is left to choose from?! But the overuse of fragrances, especially synthetic fragrances, is a pet peeve of mine. It's completely unnecessary and extremely harmful to our health. Just because one doesn't notice any affect at the time, doesn't mean it's not having a harmful effect that will eventually cause issue.. the fragrances are endocrine disruptors and just breathing around them is causing an effect, regardless if noticeable or not. Then you have absorption.. your skin is the largest organ of the body.. up to 60 percent of whatever you put on it, will be absorbed into the bloodstream. Manufacturers learned early on how malicious marketing practices could make mega profits and open up new areas in the retail industry, expanding upon the market and profits.. if they could get us to make that demand.. convincing households that certain smells are associated with effective performance.. in ither words, it's not truly clean (like with common household cleaners) unless it smells like purple passion flower, or Tide, or ABC product.. thats how the overuse of unnecessary ingredients made their way into just about everything... they used psychological marketing deception that has worked for many decades and ongoing.. it's so deeply ingrained throughout the generations, that it will probably take decades to try and counteract the BS lies with truth that is finally widely accepted by the general public to change the supply with their demands. Your lungs and liver are initially involved in the detoxification process when you simply smell the product (and still so even when you aren't consciously aware or realize this still occurs without a registered aroma).. our bodies are constantly detoxifying as they're designed to do.. filtering.. via skin, lungs, liver, kidneys, colon, etc. This is how we handle everyday toxins in our environment and food/water supply.. we normally excrete harmful byproducts out the body, keeping us healthy.. but what happens when we continue to overload our daily exposure to toxins? Those built in filters will become overloaded and won't be able to properly function, filter performance will decrease.. those toxins will accumulate and cause the body's organs to try and overcompensate.. and we'll certainty take notice then. We just won't realize what the root cause of our illnesses are, and neither will our doctors.. so they'll treat the symptoms and your quality and perhaps quantity of life will suffer.. I'll give one small example- a man ends up with diminshed kidney function out of the blue.. where it leads to chronic kidney disease, being on dialysis, etc.. the kidneys started malfunctioning due to processing a couple of LIVER enzymes that they're not equipped to handle.. why is that? The liver was overburdened with its detoxification process.. in other words, the body was taking in, exposure, more toxins than it could properly filter out and eliminate (excretion).. there's so much in our environment that we can't control that we have overexposure to.. so knowing that, why willingly continue to overburden the body with harmful products (look into the ingredients of the products and foods you use, you'll be amazed at some results of our everyday common products that have been proven to impact our health, so much that many products and ingredients are banned elsewhere due to this.. but the US FDA allows manufacturers to determine if safe.. what a joke.. yeah, like money wouldn't alter perspective in any way.. it's crazy).. our chronic illnesses have been ever increasing over the last several decades.. just like our daily exposure to toxins has.. decrease your exposure, decreases your health risks.. and illnesses.. but nothing will decrease unless we demand it.. they'll provide more and more healthier options and products overall when the majority of public demands it.. cause then they will see profits are to be made that way, and they'll provide the supply. Every consumer counts and makes a difference. Sorry for going on a tangent, but i wasn't kidding when I stated this subject is my pet peeve.

I have 2a hair and for 6 months I have done mostly heatless curls as opposed to heat curling everyday. I would like to let it be naturally wavy sometimes, but I don’t know if I really have enough wave to do that. Is there a way to know this before the long and expensive process of finding the right products for your hair and waiting for the damage to heal?

These products began popping up on my timeline so, after some research, I decided to try them as well. You've been using them longer so, a question for you: Do you use the cleansing oil in the morning and at night? I've been only using it during my night routine since there's no makeup to cleanse in the AM. I've also only been using the Cactus Concentrate at night because A) it's pricey and I don't want to run out too quickly and B) I was afraid to put makeup over it for fear of too much oil in my t-zone. What are your thoughts?

I started using mousse in the hair when braiding and got amazing results. I watch a lot of black hair tutorials and mousse is always used on twist outs etc so I thought, why not try it. The results are smooth tight braids and no frizz halo from sleeping on them.

Finally someone else who also had nervous system signs first 😅 your message at the end was really touching. I struggle with the same control issues, and when I told my family the diagnosis and was told “you just didn’t try enough” I was defeated. People have no idea how hard it is to accept help for a disability, or that you have one. Thank you for the video! I’m just on 3 months of HCQ now too and the peak forward was also too much for me to resist running with.

I would eat every single meal you made in this video down to the Lawry's season salt and sharp cheddar cheese. It is almost uncanny how similar our food tastes are to each other!!! The only difference would be for me as someone younger who is not a parent... I would eat 2 out of 3 of these meals in one day, substituting breakfast or lunch for a smoothie if at all possible because I love them!!! Anything is game in a smoothie - banana, grapes, strawberries, apple, blueberries, spinach, peaches, oranges, watermelon, pineapple... it does not matter so long as it is delicious. Adding in cinnamon and nutbutter has completely elevated my smoothies. I do not need or even crave a snack with them anymore (like chips). All in all, whatever gives you energy and helps you feel satisfied is a win in my book!!! 😊❤

How is your hair always so...not frizzy? Even after you brushed it there was hardly any frizz. My hair is probably around the same wave pattern as yours, but no matter what I always have a ton of frizz. Or at least I think I do...? My coworkers say it doesn't look frizzy but I see soooooooo much frizz. I've tried protein, moisturizing, finding the right balance between those, my hair doesn't seem like it's got too much or too little of either of those. But still super frizzy. I only brush in the shower with soaking wet hair and lots of condish. I may brush a little more when adding it stylers, but again only when soaking wet. My hair never gets the seaweed feel I hear about. And always seems like there's a ton of wet frizz. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I do not have experience with melasma, but where acne is concerned... less is more really applies to me!!! As someone who does not apply makeup, cleansing can sometimes just be splashing cold water on my face. Dry skin here, so I never skip lotion! I have noticed my skin is able to produce more natural oils now. I used to cleanse everyday but it was too much for my skin, so that is where "just water" came into play. If I am going to be outside, then sunscreen is a must. As for hair... still working on it. Dry scalp that needs a thorough cleansing because of keratosis pilaris!!! I use a leave-in conditioner, but it is hard to find affordable/worthwhile fragrance free options. Do you have any thoughts on the FF Kristin Ess line? I am hoping to purchase something in person!!! Also, I am glad you are branching out on content. When you were pregnant and showed the oat/milk/egg porridge recipe, I ran with it. Savory: use chicken stock instead of milk and add in bacon, cheddar, peppers, etc. Sweet: stick with the milk and add in cinnamon, honey, vanilla, etc. ❤❤❤
