Makes a lot of sense. However, while returning the dart intake. Should we return 0.9 or 0.9 x 2. Which is 1.8. I mean, since 0.9 was taken on both sides of the dart. Which is more correct please?
In the tutorial you’d see I added the 0.9 inches back . When I took 0.9 in from the side seam If you measure you’ll see you’d get your original 1/4 inch of waist measurement pluse the 1.5 inches you took out from dart
Hi, Thank you for this wonderful lesson on drafting darts. I am confused a little. Is that pattern that you originally drafted include any ease for a non-stretch fabric?
Very good tutorial. My pattern turned out very good. I myself had to convert all those inches to cm, because I'm used to cm, but that certainly didn't keep me from drafting one. Thank you for sharing.
If you doing a straight leg pattern then from the hip like draw it straight down no need to shape towards the knee and ankle. Then for your waistband band please cut it out from the trouser pattern . If you want your waist band to be 2 inches then from the waist line mark down two inches and cut out from the pattern and close the dart . This will make your waist band snatch your waist
When you wanted to join the knee to the crotch, you made it too curvy, that's the Reason for that, it should not be too curvy, try it out and see how it looks
