Scanlan remembering percys parents names but choosing not to say it to him before he stormed out, still trying to help him even as he was broken by the betrayal by the team
What I feel about this people after watching season 1 only recently and after season2 and 3: -Sam was an evil genius all along -Taliesin? You were so sane and expert and funny and decisive and engaged! Wtf happened to you on the way? I'm concerned now. -Travis started playing thinking he was mediocre and unskilled. Oh boy he was wrong. -Laura was, is and always will be an absolute icon. -Ashely is our little monstaaaaa -Marisha was gorgeous, but learnt only in time what having fun in a tabletop game is about -Liam, the best rpg player in the world (fight me!) tried to be a power player. Everyone can sin, I guess. He was cured from that disease, thankfully. -All hail our lord and savior Matthew Merce, bless his soul.
The ongoing journey of stress and concern in Matt’s face during the goldfish incident is just amazing to behold. Like, that is a man who’s contemplating going home with his loving partner who just accidentally killed her own character.
i dont know how travis held back tears in vax's farewell. Dude is a rock. And i dont mean that in a rude way. im genuinely surprised how he can stay firm and not fall apart.
Awww poor baby, we're all friends here. I promise none of the big kids here will tattle to your mommy or daddy if you do a little cursing. You can just say fuck.
Dude Sam's reaction to using the 9th level Spell...and Liam's reaction to knowing full well what that meant and being so extremely happy that Sam was thinking of him and sad that indeed, Vax...was going to be lost.
Not sure how much backstory you have on the campaign, but for a quick explanation: He was saving his 1 and only 9th level spell slot for after the fight to cast Wish (in a very time sensitive attempt to get the Raven Queen to spare Vax's life). Because he was forced to use the slot during the fight, Sam was coming to grips with the fact that his best friend's character was going to die right after this fight.
19:00 it’s amazing that in a game that doesn’t really matter two friends can cry tears about characters that don’t really exist. The human condition is a beautiful thing
I love that when Scanlan was being revived, it was all fun and games but when he woke up and he said "Why the fuck did you do that?" Travis was like "Oh shit, we fucked up."
19:05 to 21:38 i have no idea what this part is about. I honestly never watched critical role but im a bit interesred, i just dont want to watch basically one piece ya know?
It's definitely a time sink, I get it! If you have Amazon, you should give the animated adaptation a try. If you want a spoilery explanation of that scene in question: That scene is part of the big final fight. The character who used that 9th level Counterspell had been saving their 9th level all fight in order to attempt to break another character out of a deal that would kill them after the battle was over. By using the 9th level spell slot to keep the Big Bad from escaping (which would have been disastrous considering this Big Bad was a new god and they really only had one chance to kill him), it also meant their best friend was going to die with certainty. In that moment afterwards, they were mourning the loss of hope after believing all this time they could still use their magic to save their friend.
@@yourstepdads6675 I've already watched both seasons of the animated lol, and just recently started it over again. I wonder how much time had been put into these campaigns for them to get that attached to the characters that it brought him to tears, that's dedication right there. Thank you for that perfect explanation.
