I wanted to be catholic but I kept feeling like I wasn’t getting anything out of it. I would go to mass on Sundays look around the room and see most people sleeping and only old people or young kids that were forced to be there. I wanted to find a man to marry who loved God. Thousands of Christians were tortured & died with the apostles & AFTER the apostles; did they die in vain, for the teachings of a false church? After Peter, the 2nd pope, Linus, was martyred for Jesus. The 3rd pope, Clement, was martyred for Jesus, and so on. Jesus said the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against His Church. So you now dismiss what Jesus said, that Hell did prevail against His Church, only to be restored 1800 years later by Joe Schmo? You also denied the Baptism your loving parents gave you... Ask to no longer be attracted to him. Ask to have the strength to leave & not return. Ask for someone else to come into your life maybe a friend first before getting back into another relationship. I was raised Catholic, but I'm just a Christian who knows and understands the power of faith and belief and how the Heavenly Father works miracles in simple ways with our fancy buildings or dressing up for services. Just sit beside an oak tree and let his spirit fill you up. I'm one of his miracles. He saved me many times. I love my Heavenly Father with ally.heart. His son entered this world, and died so I could be close to my Father. This is not lost on me. I pray to the Father without a priest or anyone else, because Jesus died for my sins.
You are absolutely right when you say you can talk to God anywhere & have a close relationship with him. I have experienced his presence & comfort in my car, bedroom, bathroom or wherever I’ve talked to him. He Book of Mormon tells us that God wants us to pray in secret & not to do so for the praise of men. Most people & priests who speak of how close to God they are far from Him. The church was also made to help create community & help grow our own testimonies of Him & to help minister to each other. Missionaries have always helped us move furniture when moving as well as members in the congregation. When I had a baby a meal train was set up to deliver meals to me each day for the first week. God asks us to serve one another 🙏🏻❤
I have a real problem with the Mormon Bible. In the very beginning, they state some brass plates were found by Joseph Smith in a field with the word of the angel Moroni. Brass in the earth by that time would not be readable. The other thing was that before Joseph Smith found the plates, he was convicted of fraud and cons in New England. I believe the Mormons were founded by a con man.
Ask God if this is true or not. He will reveal the truth to you. The church did not grow to 17 million members worldwide because he conned us all. People like myself have prayed to God & received our answers. If you pray sincerely He will answer.
I know where I’ve come from & where I’m going. I know the meaning of life. I have purpose. I know I’m so loved by my Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. I hope you too one day can discover this truth that brings so much peace🙏🏻❤️

That sounds exactly like Catholics. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God the holy Ghost is his spirit that comes out upon us when we are deserving.
God is not invisible. He has a physical body. He has a perfect Body as well as Jesus. We all were spirits who lived with God before we came to earth. We were so excited & chose to come here & receive a physical body like our Father had. We will one day be embraced by our Heavenly Father & Eldest brother Jesus Christ. We can invite the Holy Spirit to be with us but the spirit does not dwell in unholy places so it’s our responsibility to keep our homes free from things that would drive the spirit away. Think of the things you watch & listen to. Can invite the Holy Spirit or even bad spirits.
😢 I'm so sorry to hear that you are missing out on the Sacraments. Satan hates the Eucharist and willl do anything and everything to pull people away from that. This is because he knows how powerful it is and that it is truly Jesus.

Actually, this is a Hellenistic Idea that cam into the church about the 4th century. Google it. They felt that God needed to be "other" because they were so wicked. If YOU read your bible for yourself you'll find answers to the questions of What material God is mad of (Look for what Jesus Said about this) and How Jesus and his Deciples are to be one Like Jesus and His father are One. So yes please read your bible. Constantine was a ruler not a servant of God
I have actually read the entire New Testament & most of the old. I’ve read more of the Bible than I have the Book of Mormon. The B.o.M actually helps us interpret the Bible better:)

You don't need any other book to interpret the word of God, all you need is discernment you get from a relationship with Jesus Christ. All of these religious organizations have been totally corrupted. I read my Bible and have my relationship with Jesus Christ, I dont need a group of humans telling me how I need to interpret God's word who very clearly have alterior motives which 9.9 times out of 10 is monetary gain and power

to anyone considering being lds, i grew up in the mormon church and the warm feeling wasnt worth all the trauma. the organisation takes 10% of your income, even if you're financially struggling. if you don't, you're not good enough for "sacred privileges". the community encourages you to separate yourself from everyone but the ingroup, and you depend on them so much that once it's gone/you don't meet the status quo, they'll constantly get on your back to "get better" whilst taking away your privileges. i realise now that i get the same warm feeling when i take care of someone, watch a show i like, or spend time with people i love. drinking coffee and alcohol or not. sure, enjoy your faith. i just don't want to rejoin a church where the founder had 40 wives, one being 14 years old.
The “organization” does not take 10% of your income. You voluntarily pay 10%. No one is over your shoulder asking if you paid tithing🧐 the only time it would be asked is if you VOLUNTARILY ask to schedule a meeting to go through the temple then this a requirement that you know in advance so most likely if you are not paying tithing you would not ask to go to the temple. At that point why would you even want to go to the temple? I’m tired of people exaggerating their experiences or straight lying to turn people away. I’m glad you still feel the spirit from time to time. Just because you leave the church doesn’t mean God loves you any less. ❤
@@Thatmormonchica maybe "take" was exaggerated, but i would say threatening your temple recommend is persuasive at BEST. i'm not trying to lie. people want to go to the temple because they want to be endowed, get sealed to their partner, have a hope to give their dead relatives a chance to the celestial kingdom... if you get a temple reccomend and start barely scraping money for food and your rent, i think it's weird that you just strip that privilege away once they decide it's a bad idea to pay the 10% that year. paying to practice part of your religion is weird shit. in my experience, it was drilled into my head from a young age to pay my 10% -- maybe that's because i was born in utah, but regardless, i didn't even know i had a choice until i was older. that's a problem in itself. even if i am wrong about this, my other points still stand. thank you for saying that. god bless
I’m strongly atheistic in my views but these other comments telling you to get therapy are wrong. Enjoy you faith the best way you know how, and I respect you for suggesting your faith for others and not trying to force it. Not for me but kudos to you and I’m glad you found your own slice of joy in this world
Thank you, Yes! I don’t believe religion should be forced on anyone. That’s not what Jesus did. He also didn’t guilt people. He asks us to simply INVITE others to church or read the scriptures. If they say no that’s fine God created us to have free will & God still loves you the same. Satan will make people believe they are going to hell for not being perfect here but that’s so far from the truth & will have opportunities even after we die to choose him 🙏🏻
