I have the same issue and am trying your solution now. Let's see if this is actually fixing it (and if the upcoming tags will be adapted to this problem). Thanks for the well explaining video! 👍🏼
Thank you very much for the valuable information you have given us with this video, and also with the previous one. I would also like to purchase this H6 unit for my 2020 corolla. However, I would like to ask you a question. Do you know if the H6 unit provides the information on the consumption of the electric battery like the original radio? My corolla is the version with the hybrid engine. Thanks again!
@luigileccese365 thanks for watching! Yes i can confirm it does provide hybrid info however not sure to the extent perhaps someone here can chime in. Cheers
@@squishyhammer Thanks anyway for the reply. In any case I also ordered a H6 unit (8Gb + 128Gb) and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I will be able to provide you with more detailed information in a few days. Cheers
It is Working🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I did it in August 2024. Really amazing, my whatsapp was not working properly from past 8 months, watched several videos, didn't help me , but this hack really helped me out... genuine review.... Very amazing.... 100% working. Transferred local backup from MI phone to Realme phone. This helped me out to restore all my previous chats and memories of many years. Thank you sir for helping me out.
@tikyoaramis8806 I had contacted Ainavi chat on Aliexpress but there is currently no firmware updates for my particular model. You may want contact them for yours. Cheers
Thanks for posting these!! Coincidentally I bought an Ainavi unit for my 2020 Toyota Corolla before I found your channel. Your 360° camera videos motivated me to take the dive and do the same to my car. I'm glad to say the project is done! Your videos were a great reference and extremely useful during the install process. Some notes about my journey: * I was able to pry the side mirror glass out without damaging it. Not sure why yours was so stubborn. The plastic shroud was a pain to pry off. I recommend keeping the mirrors mounted on the car until the plastic covers are off, just to get leverage. Since I was able to get the mirror fully apart, I did drill the hole on the bottom to install the cameras. It turned out great! * The adhesive keeping the rear camera attached was worn down in my car, so it was easy to peel off. I installed the camera in the same spot as the old one. * I had a tough time poking a hole through the firewall for the front camera. I bought the same type of pokey tool, but ended up pushing the rubber seal loose before I was able to poke a hole through it, so I just snaked the wire through the gap. I pulled the seal shut as much as I could, but I'll probably revisit it in the future. Did the calibration this morning and still working on tweaking it to fix the distortion etc, but overall it looks great. Thanks for documenting your journey, your videos are very well made and I'm glad you made them. Btw what CANBUS protocol is selected in your head unit? My next/prev song buttons are reversed and SWC key learning isn't working. The seller recommended changing the CANBUS protocol, but none stood out to me as the correct one. Currently it's set to 2019 CAMRY.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your experience! This is pin worthy! Awesome that you installed your side mirrors properly, not sure why mine was so difficult. Glad theirs a 2020 out there that isn't as notorious lol. I was literally bending the whole mirror in half and prying out each latch without success. I might come back to it but not anytime soon. There's a lot of things I want to do better next time when I'm not in a frustrated state lol. Yes if you do see some gaps in your seal you can always use gasket silicone which I had done in my 2010. Just prevent gases leaking into your cabin. My CANBUS is set to "Raise - Toyota - 16908289 Toyota All". I did have that reversed button issue but solved it with the Canbus key learning. Everything else has been working fine. We'll have to see how the whole thing performs in the Canadian winters... Cheers
Hello guys. I installed an AINAVI 13.1 inch on my Corolla SE 2021 and I bought four WDR cameras 1080 25FPS. If you want I can teach you how to pass the wires through the doors. Also a better way to install the mirrors cameras ( I bought a tool to shape the holes on the rearview mirrors caps) or you can just buy a caps on Taobao that already comes with the holes but anyway mines looks OEM or better I would say. I also can teach you how to calibrate the cameras better so that when you activate the 3D camera it doesn't look so distorted. I can also show you how to buy the corolla version from the store, it cost like .50 cents so it’s free 😂. The front camera I also can show you how to install it better than OEM 😂and I used a black silicone and it’s hard to see that there is a front camera on my car. I bought the radio after I watched your video so that’s why it would be an honor to explain you all this, I can show you a video so you can see. I even configure the steering wheel button named: mode so when I press it it launch the AVM app. So tell me and we can talk via mail and I would record a video so you can see.
I wouldn't depend on it being a dedicated dashcam. It doesn't automatically start unless you hit record when opening the DVR app. I haven't toyed too much with it but it does record all 4 views into one video stream pretty well. On the other side it doesn't allow you to record just one view. It only allows you tap to isolate one camera to take still photos. Would be better if they included that option in a future update to record video a specific camera like the front camera. Even so, I'd keep my dedicated 4k dashcam separate for bandwidth sake. I'll be coming out soon with a Dasaita dashcam review in case you're interested. Cheers
I changed my main WhatsApp account to my new phone and „bound“ my old phone that has the local backup on it, to my new phone. When I changed the main WhatsApp account back from my new to my old phone, my old phone had one third of the contacts and no chat history at all. I have an local backup on my old phone from 2 weeks ago. Can I just uninstall WhatsApp from my old phone and download it again and hope that it asked me to restore my local data or do I risk loosing my local data by deleting the app. I could also load the WhatsApp backup folder on my pc but I m traveling at the moment and that would be quite a hazel. I would rather skip the loading to the folder to my pc. Thanks in advance
Hi Squishy hammer, would you have any idea what camera sensors these are using? Trying to decide if worth spending the extra money for imx307 sensors or not. Thanks!
@wayneching92 unfortunately no it's still a mystery, the ones I purchased were the standard 1080p ones. I do remember seeing the Sony sensors specifically for a more heftier price but decided not to. Cheers
@@squishyhammer I know sometimes they have markings on the camera case, near where the cable is coming out of the camera, could you have a look and see if there are any markings theres? Also love your video, never knew about AiNAVI and also now makes me want to install a 360 camera as well :)
@wayneching92 so I just took a look at the spare cameras I have, unfortunately there are no markings of any sort (was looking for any fine print or imprints) which I would too think there would be. These camera kits are very factory generic, possibly not to infringe on any brand by labeling it... possibly. Thanks for watching! I'll be coming out with another review of a Dasaita head unit next month maybe you can wait for that. Cheers
@@squishyhammer thanks so much for the reply. As I am quite time poor, I would only slowly be able to install the cameras, any idea if I could just install only the back one first, which will work as my reverse camera, then I slowly install the rest of the cameras over a course of some time? Thanks!
@@wayneching92 For sure! I drove around with just the reverse for a while. Since you haven't bought your Android Head Unit yet, I'd suggest just fishing the wires first. Don't mount your 360 reverse camera yet as it would probably get in the way of your oem camera while you're still using it. cheers
Thank you! All of my tags eventually did the beeping every few seconds. Primarily if they're jostled around or if my car keys is hanging off my belt loop but tucked in my pants pocket. This solution fixed all of them. Hopefully Samsung just remove the battery completely and the packaging so they won't be causing a bad natural Gap
@Division_Agent_ Great! Im glad it helped. I remember mine would always go off on my car keys on a specific roundabout which was super odd but sparked my realization. Yes hope they fix their packaging. Cheers
First of all THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH SIR!!!! I recently migrated from a old device to a new one and I had done the Google drive back-up for WhatsApp but when I opened my account I couldn't get my messages. Moreover I didn't even get the pop up which says "looking for backup" man it was frustrating and I had tried for many days, watching different videos and even visited mobile repair shop to see if they could fix the issue. Even there they said they could do nothing. Plus I was mentally preparing to be okay with loosing all my important messages, luckily I came across your video and was able to recover all my messages. The fact that we had this option all along but didn't knew about it wasn't pleasant but from now on it will be always offline backup than online. Thank you so much God bless you
I have same corolla as you are. Is your AINAVI android carplayer can use samsung dex mode? Or If you hook your phone with certain C to B cable to usb B port on your car, Is your Carplay mirror your phone? Thank you!
Nice! Corollas FTW. Please see my answer to your comment in the android head unit video as I don't think this one relates at all lol. As for USB ports, stick to standard USB-A on these units. Cheers
Thanks for watching! The HDMI port is output only, usually to hook up another screen to the backseat. I'm not really a user of Samsung Dex mode so I can't give you an answer but the ZLINK app in the H5/H6 allows for wired mirroring as well as wireless mirroring. The iphone wireless mirroring is straightforward, however, the android wireless mirroring requires the ZLINK app to be downloaded to your phone. Cheers
Sounds like surge damage and/or component failure like a blown capacitor. Unsure but if it has happened before, the common denominator I would start looking would be stability of the power source
i just want a better screen in my 22 corolla i dont want to mirror i want to wirelessly andoroid auto my phone to my car as my bluetooth dongel is finicky
GTA. I think the scary part would be knowing how to remove your car's interior trim. You'll have to get used to doing that first. Other than that, everything is pretty straight forward and well documented in the video. You could seek a local professional but it will an extra cost for something DIYable. Cheers
I’m still debating on whether whether or not to purchase this. one question I have is since there is no longer a physical volume knob/radio on or off button, how do you quickly turn off the sound?
Unfortunately if it has been used, that tag has to be removed from their SmartThings account first as its still registered to them. You'll need to ask the original owner to unregister it first.

Thanks! I would not know where the oder is coming from inside my car without knowing this trick! The filter was dirty and super dusty! One easy fix and it changes everything 😀
WOW! My very first Super Thanks 😀 Thank you so much for your support! It's much appreciated. I'm glad this video helped you breathe much fresher air lol
I did this today. Now my smart.tag.2 is broken, lol....not getting power - at all. The tab is sticking out more - like yours - but the tag is now completely dead. I will (not) be buying another one. Hopefully this technology improves in the near future.
Yikes! Can't see how that would have happened unless it was completely detached from the pcb somehow. Have you tried a factory hard reset? There was one time I thought mine was dead and wasn't beeping at all till I did physically reset it
My AINAVI experience was terrible. My wires were all in reverse and AINAVI refused to send another harness so I had to take the wires out and flip them. Still my CANBUS only partially registers, I can not relearn the steering wheel controls and I can not adjust any of my car settings. A night mare right ? Well I also had no audio so I needed to splice wires for that, how lovely, now the AINAVI doesn’t interact with my Bose amp properly so it creates a loud static hum, need to try to get a noise reduction adapter now. This whole time AINAVI has denied that there was any issue with the product and said my car was the one with the wrong wiring 😂
Yikes! Sorry to hear that, sounds quite unfortunate. I guess it's not a good experience for everyone, the saving grace is that you sound more technically capable than the average user to figure out what is wrong here. Hope you will be able to sort out the rest of the issues. Have you tried some different CANBUS selections maybe?
@@squishyhammer with the CANBUS I put the configuration as my car model, totally incompatible. The only way to get the CANBUS to register is to switch it to another model. This allows for the steering wheel controls and centre commander knob to be functional (although the volume up and down are reversed). That is bearable. For the car settings I lack any features except the door locks. No data or information on consumption, no digital climate control panel. My unit screen does not ever show the default screen with the car and speedometer, Just bear bones door locks. So my CANBUS is pretty much exclusively steering wheel controls. Now when I try to go into the factory settings to change the ACC to 1 as to slow down battery consumption, there is no option. In fact the entirety of the factory settings looks like it is still partially coded, as if they never fully coded the system properly, some of the options are just lines of text with no actual interactive setting to change. I am going on a bunch and thinking I received a defective model or AINAVI was dishonest with the compatibility of my car (Mazda 6). However most Mazda 6 users do not have these issues so I assume my model is defective, in which AINAVI staunchly refuses. Been an al around nightmare. I will say the build quality is good, mine was just clearly not built properly lol.
@@WaterMelon-Cat Hmm it does sound like something CANBUS related either its no good - perhaps it needs a firmware update or on the unit itself. It sucks I know. You know what, I'll msg them on chat later about your case. Now I don't think I have much pull honestly since the aliexpress system forbids much disclosure other than reg support, but I want to hear their response to this. Hope to help in some way at least - will let you know.
@@squishyhammer much appreciated. I really wanted to like AINAVI. The H6 costs $500 in my country. I guess I am an outlier but there is just problem after problem. Also I have to put my CANBUS as the CX-5 to get any sort of registration, the Mazda 6 is totally unsupported. I think they were dishonest about the compatibility.
Hi friend, I have the 2020 corolla SE version i dont think it should matter. I am sold on the H6 after watching your videos. However, on Ali Express in Ainavi how do i contact them so i can be sure they send me the correct cables etc... do they make contact once you purchase ?
Great! Thanks for watching, yes the AliExpress chat is the way to contact them directly. If you scroll down the product page or go to their main store page there's a button called "Message" that will bring up the chat dialog. They're located in China so you'll need to wait for their business hours for replies. Before you purchase anything, just contact them and tell them you have a 2020 Corolla SE and ask if the H6 is compatible (i'm sure it is) then upload a pic of your current head unit in the chat. That's how they confirmed mine. They'll ask you questions if there are certain issues, as well you may want to ask them anything on your mind. Then I went ahead and purchased letting them know in the same chat thread. Cheers
Unfortunately it doesn't utilize the car mic but the internal/ext mic on the unit. To be honest the mic quality isn't that great either so if that's a sticking point for you, you may want to avoid purchasing android head units in general or use your phone instead. Cheers

Thanks for watching! I probably would say natively there would be no support since globally it's quite niche however if you have an SiriusXM Android app or Android Auto / Carplay counterpart it should work just fine. I'd chat with AINAVI sales to confirm since I've never had SiriusXM before. Cheers
Just use the Gray 3.5 end connected to the phone or adaptor. If yours didn't come with one I would contact Hollyland. Mine works perfect on an S20 with the white Samsung adapter.
@gib651g You may want to give AINAVI a chat. I'm sure they will supply you the right password to get into your factory menu. They must have changed it in a subsequent update.
Thanks for watching! Your Corolla is pretty new, if the trim is similar to the 2023 model I don't see why not but I would definitely confirm with AINAVI chat before you purchase anything. Cheers
@@squishyhammer Thanks man. You are a fantastic youtuber!. Someone at aliexpress reported success with the 13.1 in X6 Corolla-A high-end model. I will ask to confirm with AINAVI chat
thanks for the video. I tried both the Rugged Armor and the Tough Armor, finally went with the tough armor as you did, mainly because it's more grippy while with the rugged armor i have to 'claw' with my fingers to grab it since it's too thin.
Very true! I do like the feel and thickness of the Tough Armor and still have it on till this day, it's the best case I've had for a long time. Thanks for watching! Cheers
Amazing, about the screen brightness thing, i believe you can set it up with AUTO SWITCH in the notification bar or switch it manually by using dream forest option or time monologue option. I hope that helps.
Thanks for sharing! but I was looking into the actual screen brightness since I always like mine on the night setting theme especially with AA. Driving at night I would always have to manually adjust the screen brightness all the way down, then all the way up during the day. Would help if these settings can be user specified depending on time of day.
