First time I searched for knitting baby socks. And boom, perfect tutorial who cannot understand the heal decrease, ohmy.. why didn't I check YT before? Thank you madam, this tutorial was really perfect for a newbie "knitt a baby or adult socks" Kiss you ❤❤❤
Your voice is soothing; as a beginner, I find that this is very important! So many knitting videos are abrasive, with "cute" comments throughout. I also appreciate your content, you are a good instructor. I liked and subscribed!
I learned that the label on some yarns indicate which end of the ball the end of yarn will pull out. If the label reads from top to bottom of skein, pull the yarn end from the bottom. If the label reads side to side, pull the end from the right side of skein.
Interesting, I didn't know this. Usually just winde them from inside and work from outside, like in video. Thank you for sharing, will see this next time. 😊🧶❤️
I hate when a yarn company knots the wrong color sequence together! We pay good money for these yarns! The least they could do is make sure the stripes line up!!! You are so patient!
I'm so happy I've found this video. I've learned so much in just one video from you and I have seen many heel Tutorials. Thank you very much 😊 I will knit this heel today.
I don‘t understand the decreases when we take from both sides and it is not shown in the video. The one round you show has slip, knit, knit together, knit until there are 4 stitches, knit two together, knit 1, purl two together. Then we just do all knit stitches on the other side until the gap and turn. Once we are back is it slip, knit, knit two together again? And then on the other end do we purl together? That would mean we are not „taking/decreasing“ from both sides because the decrease stitches never go further than the gap.. Please help if you can! If you could maybe write the steps out like I did, that would be great!Thank you!
You will leave central stitches always the same number and decrease knitting or purling 2 together from both sides of this central part. And after certain point you will decrease number of stitches in a central part as well to create a right anatomical shape. Try to watch video more and understand a principal.
Cute bear hat but I’m struggling with the lack of clear instructions. 😢 I’m totally confused and I’ve watched that part several times. Slowing the video down doesn’t help either. Has anyone else figured out the second part of the decrease where you work down to just 3 stitches. Please leave instructions in the comments section if you have please 🙏🏽 Thank you
Thanks for sharing this. I wish your next video is about measurement and calculating number of stitches needed when not using any pattern. I enjoyed watching your program.
Stitch #1-knitted cast-on, stitch #2-cable cast-on=not stretchy at all, very firm. Stitch #3- Backwards loop cast-on or E cast-on=stretchier than 1 and 2 but very loose and unstable. Stitch #4-Provisional cast-on=not stretchy if used as is. Stitch #5 is an unusual combo of #1 and #3-moderately stretchy.
I don't usually do yarn over increases, but your tips about direction (towards you and away from you) and twisting were great! I might try it in a ribbed sock :) Thank you for this whole video. I only like cuff-down socks so this tutorial is a goldmine for me.
I have never seen yarn joined like that for in the round. Absolutely brilliant! I've been knitting for years. Consider myself expert/master... You taught this old dog a new trick. THANK YOU.
