Try this. With your iPad in portrait view (long ways up and down), press and hold the home button. While continuing to hold the home button, turn the iPad to landscape view (long ways left to right), then back to portrait view. Make sure your screen rotates when you do this. Now let go of the home button. Hopefully, this is a fix to the "more common" issue in this case and resolves your problem. Good luck!
Do not add WD-40 or any other wet lubricant on there that will cause dirt and dust to collect and build up use a dry graphite don't use silicone silicon builds up a static charge and will attract dust add that same graphite to your window tracks
bro thank you so much, this is an ipad pro, the newest one, and it has a TERRIBLE loose charger port, and this helped out so much. tysm bro, ur a life savior.
@@CarlPugh update: the first time didn’t work, and just recently i tried to fix it but i put tape over ALL the sides, top, bottom, left, and right. the problem is that it has a VERY TERRIBLE loose cable, like, it didn’t charge at all. and even now with it taped up (every spot/hole) its still not 100% fixed, more like 85%. but seriously though, thanks. i heard its around 100$ - 300$ to get it replaced, and thats a lot.
Very practical video Can you please tell me what camera bag it is which slings so nicely with your camera and 2 lenses?. I would consider buying it,. Thanks
@@RamaprabhuHaving tried a dozen different camera bags over the years, nothing beats the Lowepro Urban Photo Sling 150. It is no longer manufactured but you can often find them on eBay. I have traveled all over the world with mine. I love how it keeps my camera at the ready and provides a safe platform for lens changes. They also made a Lowepro Urban Photo Sling 250 which is larger. I prefer the smaller 150.
Nice zoom lens from 70mm to 180mm. If i were to shoot wide angle for travel, i'd rather use 108MP Galaxy S21ultra mobile phone, even lighter for my bag :)
I notice that there is a very small amount of dirt/ lint on the bottom of my charger port! I'll try this but what if the electrical tape starts to like die out? How do you get it out.
First step in the video is to clean out any lint in your charging port. Also described is how to prepare the tape so that you can always pull it out. And in the highly unlikely even it does get stuck in there you can always fish it out with a paperclip.
It worked for me! You have to do it a couple of times and rub it in circles ON the home button, not around it. You have to kinds slide it over to its correct spot. Thank you!
Carl you are a legend. Thank you so much for this. The stress you’ve saved me and so many others is immeasurable. Subscribing is the very least I can do
And if all else fails, buy a new cord, my power cord and headphones went kaput within two days, you would assume it was the port, not in my case, it was the power cord.
Same I just found my Old IPad Pro Right now And haven’t used it since August 2023. And I’m having an issue right now. So when I found my old iPad Pro, I went into my room and starting charging it. Then suddenly I’m having an issue right now. Whenever the phone charge sign appears. Then the apple logo appears, it disappears and so it keeps happening the apple logo keeps appearing and disappearing at the same time! So can anyone please let me know how to fix this problem? Thank You!
I have a bunch of Apple products including my 7 year old 10.5 inch iPad Pro which I’ll probably be trading in and get my hundred dollars from Apple after purchasing new iPad Air 13 inch. My experience has been by the time the lightning port gets this bad you might as well replace the whole thing because the battery is probably getting pretty worn out. Apple usually drops trade in value rather quickly after a new product launch.
You can use assistive touch. Settings. Accessibility. Touch. Turn ON assistive touch. A small square appears on screen. Tap and you will see home button there.
I tried to clean it, put in tape but then turned my iPad upside down and with cord plugged in leaned it again this file boxes handle, with it only leaning on the handle by the end of the cord- with the screen facing out- that applied enough pressure to let it charge- I bought the used iPhone 6 yesterday at a resale shop with mostly credit from old cds, toys, books etc I sold to them so yay! It works & I decluttered- I hope the 6 will update still for at least a couple years though, it’s 6 years old already-
