We switched a few years ago... mostly to save Sam's neck/back... With him stage right, he's looking in the direction his fiddle is pointing! But on acoustic gigs we go back to the original formation so Rob can hear Andy's left hand... hope that helps!
Hello! It's a melody we found in Thomas Cooper's manuscript. No composer is mentioned. In terms of time signature, we actually feel it in different ways to each other. Rob wrote it out in The Leveret Tune Book in 3/2 but Sam feels the A part more in 6/2 (if that's even a thing) and the B part as 2 bars of 3/2 followed by 2 bars of 4/2... it's a bizarre tune but we love it!

Wonderfull this tune. It came to me on its own this morning, a good thing. I'm now listening to it non stop, just got up but completely worn out! It's gently rocking me like a boat on the sea waves. Just what I needed.
This is fantastic. Should we consider Sidney Forlong to be in G Dorian or C Mixolydian? (I have been wondering this for a while, I’m ashamed to say.) Either way, Leveret are the best!
Makes me long for the contra dance floor... but then -LOL - I am happy to give all my attention to the so-many-more-notes-than-anyone-else... Definitely a band I would sit out 2-3 dances a night to simply admire.
Omg, I love this so much. Just lovely. Can you just move into my life and play non-stop. The CDs are good, but having you live would be ever so much better.
