A note to others, don't use the silicone like he did. I doesn't need it, and it will be a major pain to adjust or remove in the future. 3" exhausts never fit perfectly without adjustments to be made.
Is the rest of your exhaust stock? I have a 2015 Q40 and want to replace the y pipe because the flex pipes are toast. But, I don’t want to mismatch diameters with this Z1 y pipe. Liked and subscribed BTW
The friction of the spool with the housing or valve, of the injector, in a long period time creates a natural wear, the spool is like a "bone" with larger segments or gaps between; this will close or opens the valve with help of the coil. That means that the valve itself has some gaps too and when the spool get used it start making friction all over the place and the wear will not be uniform and that will create gaps that will finish in injector stiction, hard starts, etc. It's hard to match the valve and the spool as you have to hone the valve and put a DLC coating on the spool to match them, sometimes it will work ans sometimes don't, or you can get a Valve & Spool Assembly for that injector and have a New matched part that will ensure that your diesel fuel injector won't get more problems. If you're interested in the Valve & Spool Assy, please visit www.california-diesel.com you can see a couple of photos there and order it if you need it, we also have solenoids for 6.0L Power Stroke injectors, nozzles and other parts. Nice video!
If your vom reads .2 ohms, and you test gp & value is .7, then, real value is .5, so, still within spec, my question is brand new out of box, mine read .2 to .4ohms, is that ok?
To everybody wondering how to put the carrier bearing back on, buy 3 cans of air duster, turn them upside down and spray the shaft of the driveshaft and it will freeze it. Slide the carrier bearing on, may have to tap it a few times with a rubber mallet until it’s fully seated. Caution: the spray coming out of the cans will cause frostbite immediately if it comes into contact with skin and the fumes/vapor will cause harm to your lungs so use with caution, outside and maybe a fan to vent away from you and some welders gloves
Grocery stores have dry ice, I need to use it a lot for pumps and compressor rebuilds. Should work better, though I've never tried aerosol, but that's not a bad idea for something small in a pinch.
67 ft lbs wow....I was only torquing to 30ft lbs I wonder if that's why I have a leak... I have a slip joint that is leaking after removing the midpipe and then reinstalling it...before it did not leak so I don't have it fully seated....I don't know if I just didn't torque it down enough or if I didn't fully seat it...will torquing it down help fully seat it or do I just need to whack it with a rubber mallet to get it to fully seat?
7:25-7:26 - you left out the most important step; how to get the bloody ring to thread back on. I have been fighting mine for 90 minutes and cannot get it to start threading.
Don't forget to reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for at least 1minute. You're gonna really feel the power afterwards. 💪🏽
For those of you watching this video, I have massive words of advice. Change your pickup screen to a brand new one if you know what's good for you. Mine broke into pieces and stopping up my fuel line
@@alandiosdado8056 I actually had my mechanic do it but he took the tank off and from what I understand he somehow blew the line out but I'm not sure how. I think it was mostly just clogged at the end
Great video use water from your tank to clean your media next time and all the aquarium junkies will appreciate it , thank you for the video definitely considering this filter it almost a small sump but less complicated.
