I remember when I first heard this album. I knew the end was coming then. Big Iron. That one gives me traumatic anxiety. In the old west, people were more educated, and so dueling is dangerous. In Russia, its literally a big joke. Not even a sport.
There is some enjoyable music here but I wouldn’t have written home about it. You could have seen as good or better bands any night of the week in SF back then, most you’ve never even heard of.
I've been listening to rock for about 55 years, and this is by far the worst song that I've ever heard that I like to listen to again and again. I'm baffled.
This show was really a fine effort by JGB 3/12/78 Commack LI NY was a show that I will always remember. Still looking for a good recording of that one. anybody have one ????? This tour was amazing !
I've seen some incredible mission in the rain this is one of my favorite it's a time when John Kahn and Maria Muldaur we're seeing each other so you had Donna Jean and Maria singing together I saw this combination a few times but like I said this is one of my favorite. Mission in the Rains... Peace Paul
This is one of my favorite Scar's because Jerry is really exuberant. you can hear it in his voice and see it in his wry smiles and light steps. And his solos are so pure and beautiful. he's the only player that can hit the strings of my soul so consistently. The notes, the tone. Just playing over the changes, but such a pure tap to emotion....It's hard to put into words. I resisted this band for so long, but eventually I came home.
