So, i was hoping you would check out this video on crank failure on these trx450r's. He does a pretty good job explaining what typically causes it, and also, he fabricated a shim/sleeve for the crank to help prevent it from walking side to side. Would really like to hear your input on crank failure. Thank you for the informative vids! Keep it up! Thanks! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cOAHcWFAm2A.htmlsi=ldV4KVuJ8Wnkqw3y
You're the man Mario! You make this look easy! Very impressed with that factory fresh build! I was hoping you could build one of these with the Athena big bore kit with CP piston. I'd really like to see, and know, what other upgrades you would recommend with big bore kits. Parts like impeller upgrade, cam upgrade, the whole nine! But also, maintain longevity and reliability. Keep up the great work. I appreciate the video series on this engine, and foremost, your knowledge!
Great video series. I have an 05 trx 450r. It started making a squealing noise under the stater cover. I haven’t been able to take it apart, yet it could be my chain rubbing. worst case scenario, would you know what would cause that?
id like for him to explain why hes racing this one and not the lobo ? there were less laeger flip top narrow frames made than lobo's . but id race them both . some guys in the TX4 series have lobo chassis and race them , also some Laeger's . Dave Moore racing sponsors some of them .
I think the Lobo has always been a “dream build” for Mike. He talked about it for years before building one. He knew he’d never ride it so he decided to build the Laeger to play on. I doubt he will race it hard or very often. Just something to have fun on!
To me the Lobo is the cream of the crop! It was always a dream build for me and I couldn’t believe I was even able to get one! I put a lot of effort bringing that quad back to life from the shape it was in when I got it! The quad is immaculate and I decided to build it for my son and put his name all over it, he’s 7 now and I’m hopeful he gets in to racing and I said if he wants to race it if the time ever comes he can!!
Any reason the electric start reduction gear assembly would lock up? Cause the engine too stop. It happened too my 08 and I’m wondering what’s going on
