I used to grass drag, so much fun! Had a 650 Polaris Starfire in 1974, modified, running Klotz racing fuel (95% alcohol), spiked with nitro-methane. Did my share of winning around Ontario with sleds from all over Canada and the US. I added an 800 to my stable and broke the 100 MPH barrier in the 660. (Chatham, Ontario, Police radar) Good times back then, "73, 74, 75! BTW, my 650 Starfire , was brand new in the crate and never saw a flake of snow in it's short, but very successful life! I am 71 and still love snowmobile drag racing ...... what a rush!
I live in New Brunswick Canada and love Snowmobiles but we have to travel everywhere to go sledding so nice fo watch content on what I love so much keep up good work LOVE METALLICA!
Good lord. I just stumbled across this. I was there this day. Cable WI. A tiny little town in the north woods of Wisconsin. About 45 minutes south of me. A beautiful winter day with amazing machines. I’m the one with the snow suit and thermal boots on....lol
Mettalica is great I want to use rock medleys for my blog FTFM Garage. But I Hurd you can’t use other peeps toons or is it just can’t use the invite song?
How long are these races and how fast it is things going this stuff needs to be timed Start to see who wins when there’s nothing but a rooster tail of snow they got to be knocking on 150mph no?
These are 500’ races. Some of the outlaw sleds are over 150mph. There are cameras at the the start line to determine red lights and cameras at the finish to determine the winner. More than once the finish line camera has been used for slow motion frame by frame replays to determine a winner by inches. This system has worked well for years. Have you ever dealt with timers and the issues that go along with them? Snow outlaws prides itself on organization and a strict race schedule. Glitchy timers, cut wires buried in the snow, etc are a good way to mess up a show.
Shocked the hell out of me to see an old deere. When was the last deere sled made anyway.there used to be a deere shop in my small town here in iowa but hell it probably shut down back in the mid 90s lol
Awesome set up, looks like ya changed the turbo out, if so from what sizes are you running and how many pounds of boost on ice and snow. What size lug for snow, length of nails and best et to date just curious Thanks Mike
TheTractormaster it is nice too see. Will say the HoltCat dealer near me has Fendts, and another brand i cant think of. Heard the are easier to drive then the New Holland. We both know those handle better then a deere... I help out on a farm and have to handle an 80hp open cab deere. Sorta comfy, but forget about turning in a pinch....
TheTractormaster Well sorta lmao. Try putting up with the diesel clank of an open cab mahindra 40hp what i have.. That bitch is loud as fuck... but the turnings great... least till it hits full lock and the steering wheel will keep going slowly lmao.. btw new tractor that is
sweet video. you have some nice trucks. are your driver's required to have a class A driver's license? professional over the road license? Does WI have any exceptions for Ag vehicles?
One of the best video's i have seen. great drone work day, night, low level over crops and in dust. would like to see more. And keep up all the good work at Sullivan Farms.
Mechanized single-crop farming, with, one assumes, lots of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc. is bad for the soil, the air, the water, the planet. The same for the dairy herd. Overcrowded feed lots with lots of hormones and antibiotics. Bad, bad, bad.
+Ralph Averill You sir, are an ass, all the things you mentioned in your rant were not shown in the video, except mechanized farming. Provide proof for your claims or shut up about them. Sustainable organic farming does not exist because it takes twice as much land and resources to produce the same amount of crop using modern technology and methods. Finally, you obviously have no clue how to produce food or you wouldn't be commenting on youtube videos (I assume on a computer) and bitch that a farmer shouldn't get to use modern tools to do their job, while I bet you get to use modern technology to do yours.
+Travis r Actually, Travis, I'm the 9th generation of a family that has been operating the same farm in Connecticut for over 250 years. I do know whereof I speak.
You are entitled to your opinion. Do you believe that organic farming a viable option to feed a booming world population with a limited number of acres?
+C Sul Thank you for allowing me my opinion. The problem as I see it isn't methods of agriculture, it's the "booming population". The planet cannot sustain us at this rate. If we don't get population under control, through attrition, (birth control), Nature will control it for us sooner or later. And we probably won't like her methods.
+C Sul Aaaahhhhhh....I was thinking you must have an obscenely large dairy herd. Also...How is your Fendt working for you. Just don't see those in use much on American soil.
it's profitable if you were grandfathered into the land and equipment but if you had alot of money to buy the land and equipment then it would be profitable but it also depends on what type of farming you want to get into
the US locks out a lot of imports from places like Brazil to keep US prices artificially high- the US farmers gotta afford those $80K F-350s and $500K Deere Combines
