Follow sailing boat Chloe on her travels with her live-aboard owners. Chloe is a 2019 Garcia Exploration 45, an aluminium sailboat with lifting centreboard.
You should use the solent with the gennaker, instead of the forward jib. That would give you a better slot shape and size between both the jib and gennaker, and the jib and main. Asymmetrical flying sails do a great job at generating lots of apparent wind, so you definitely want your main up to take advantage of that. You’ll be surprised how far in the main wants to be trimmed relative to the TWA, often on a broad reach, the boom will be well inside the beam.
Great to know you back at RU-vid! Your videos are one of my motivations to continue hard working to own hopefully one day also a garcia to explorer the world 😊
I was wondering were you guys were. Glad to see you back here. Please, give us the pros and the cons of owning a G. Expl. 45, so far. Safe sail and best regards from a Brazilian fan of Chloe. 😘
Great to see you back…I like the unique chill pace, mixture of travel and sailing info, slightly dodgy sense of humour ha ha …and have sold me on a Garcia! Just need to decide between and old or a new one ;)
Great to see you and the cheese'n'kisses out on the water again in that lovely boat....AND that you survived the wrath of her 'mum'! Obviously you didn't have to sell Chloe to pay her off. Good work! Wishing you both fair winds in the future.
@@sailingchloe2330 WOW! Thanks for the reply. I hope that you were able to navigate your way through the morass of the plandemic. You seemed like a very practical bloke, so let's hope that you were able to side-step and hrow the odd dummy before it enveloped you both, though in Canada that would not have been too easy to accomplish If I recall correctly you were carrying a bit of weight. My advice is get it down and make sure that your natural immune system is robust. Methinks that there are some 'stormy seas' ahead of us all, and we need o be thinking outside the square of politico-corporate dogma! Cheers, & fair winds!
Those masks were awfully funny Peter. Dawn, you were a good sport to wear them. I enjoy your combined sense of humor. I hope you guys are enjoying whatever your new adventure is today. Thank you both for sharing your lives on RU-vid over the last few years. I've thoroughly enjoyed every video.
