Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. I'm Molly and on this channel you will be joining me on my nature rambles in the Scottish Highlands, I will be inviting you into our cosy tiny home and sharing my experience of living a slow, simple and authentic life. Thank you so much for being here with me.
Thank you Molly you have inspired me to finish writing about my wood through the seasons this year. I have the journal some photos of drawings I did and now I will collect my writing and start to edit and transfer my work. Taking my writing seriously! very important thank you for reminding me to do that!
You have the right atmosphere to write and you seem like a very disciplined person. I agree with you that books teach us a lot. For me, every reading is a journey from which I hope to receive a wide range of emotions.
Always LOVE to see Sky (hope I have spelled that correctly). The nourish bowl looked amazing! I never used to post it note books, but you’ve really got me into this habit & I am finding i’m getting a lot more out of my fiction as a result. Thank you for the weekend reset 😊💕
Hi Molly, My favourite book of the year so far is; "The Stars Will Still Be There" by Nicola Nuttall. A memoir detailing her daughter(Laura) journey through treatment for brain cancer. Really is a emotional rollercoaster. Take care, & hope you have a lovely week ahead. 🙂
Mollie can you make another video about Substack experience, tips and advice. I started it twice in the past but got overwhelmed with all the chats and thread and community and so many focusing on numbers, stats, hassling. It put me off when I just wanted to write and share. I found it way more overwhelming than having a blog. Can you talk about your experience more and how do you approach Substack as different writers appear to have various strategies for dealing with things I mentioned. If you are someone not driven by success and stats is it the right platform? As you can tell I have always struggled with the whole business/creative combo. They just don’t marry in my head. It applies to anything creative not just writing
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'll bear this in mind for future content as I'd love to share more. Personally, I think you can just use Substack to write as a creative hobby, rather than as a business, but I understand that it can feel overwhelming. I'd recommend checking out a fellow Substack creator's RU-vid that I'll link here as she has some great tutorial videos - www.youtube.com/@creativelyconsciousUK
I do agree with you when you say that fiction can teach you a lot of things. I always thought that books speak to us and the things they say may be different each and every time depending on our mood, the stage in our life we are in that particular moment, what we're going or we've been through, etc. because at the end of the day all of those people who love reading , they really look for a connection with what they're reading on a deeper level. That's why the same book might be liked by someone and utterly despised by someone else. Thanx again for this vlog. I hope you can thrive as a writer.
Thank you for posting this! I really struggle to cook well for myself, but seeing you cook has given me some great ideas and motivated me to make a bit more effort in the kitchen!
I’m also pear shape (at least 1 size bigger on the bottom than the top). With dresses, flared or looser-on-the-hips ones, I order the size that fits my top and the flare takes care of the bottom half. 😊
Happy summer!!! Love 💕 the haircut and the pretty dress too! I will be looking for some of the books 📚 that you have suggested in your video… so take care and hugs to Skye 🥰🌻
Loved your video as always Molly. Have you read Mirrors in the Earth by Asia Suler? Its about healing with and connecting to the Earth. Im currently reading it for the second time, thought you might like it! X
H is for Hawk is good. I've always been fascinated by falconry, but also troubled by the fact it is really a bloodsport, and also about keeping essentially a wild animal under one's control like that, maybe not exactly captive. But the book does deal with these issues in great depth, her response to them and how she diverged from the usual practices (and how falconers were in part responsible for the conservation and reintroduction of goshawks). It is sometimes a bit brutal, inasmuch as nature and how wild animals live is a brutal matter, but having worked as a conservationist I imagine you can cope with that! It also has a thread about T H White, who wrote 'The Once and Future King' and also 'The Goshawk', which were the books which got me interested in falconry as a young person. Lovely dress and hair, btw!
Love the haircut! It suites you beautifully ☺️ if you like cozy mysteries, I just finished reading Buried in a Good Book by Tamara Berry which had several unexpected twists but was also a fun, easy read. I also read a fantastic book recently by Madeline Miller called Circe. Using Greek Mythology, Miller wove together this vivid tale with one of the most glossed over characters in Greek mythology at its center. I highly recommend it!
With every short film you make Molly your joyful nature shines through more and more as your confidence in front of the camera has grown, alongside your production skills, it’s admirable and such a pleasure to see. It inspires me to want to make a short film too☺️. Your haircut suits you well and your lovely healthy dewy skin looked so pretty. May you go from strength to strength on your creative journey, we all wish you well with it.
The new Hairstyle suits your delicate features perfectly:) I love pickuplimes for great vegan cooking/ recipes channel on RU-vid x I know the old saying “ don’t judge a book by its cover” but do you? How do you pick? Xx
Thank you! Yes I am very influenced by cover admittedly! I also like to check out the review blurbs as this tends to give a good insight on the quality of a book :)
Hi Molly, hope you are well. I'm pretty sure your new dress is from Mountain Warehouse. I had the same one a few years ago and loved it, but sadly I put on some weight and ourgrew it! They do quite a few nice dresses. Have a great week. 😊
Hi that was lovely, I like your dress such pretty colours and a good fit. I also enjoy your book updates as I am a reader myself. I recently read The Book of Fire by Christy Lefteri, this one was from the library and that was really good, I have also read Songbirds by her and that one i picked up at the charity shop for £1. Have a good week. ☺
I listened to The Cloisters last month just before I went to visit the Cloisters in NYC. It was a fun book and just right be for my visit. The Unicorn tapestries and gardens make it a truly special place.
Love the new haircut, really suits you. I've also changed my routine on the hot days, going for a longer walk early morning. I also get up about 5.30. It's the best time to be out, and midday is too hot for doggies. I really prefer winter time 🙂
H is for Hawk is the most beautiful comforting book I have read. Firstly in 2014 when I lost my Dad, Helen's Dad had passed too. It's about healing though nature, read again early days of Covid. Love your videos!
