Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. I'm Molly and I'm using this channel to document my movement towards a slower and simple life in the Scottish Highlands. You can expect lots of nature rambles (including van life vlogs), bookish content, vegan recipe inspiratio and cosy vlogs from our Tiny Home.
Hey Molly, I haven;t seen your videos for a while, so this is new to me@van life! I shall watch some older videos tomorrow, but I just wanted to say to your diatribe near the end, that I'm sure I speak for all of your subs that your videos DO make me/us feel good and inspired and I always like to watch them at the end of the day before bedtime (like now!) :D All the best to you as always and of course, Skye! 🥰 P.S. As someone who just turned 50 last week (gulp!), I can definitely relate to the feeling more complacent as I've gotten older. But one of the good things about getting older is the introspection/reflection and wisdom that comes with it. I feel less 'pressurized' in some regards to conform to what society at large expects me to be at this age. When you're a lot younger (as you are now), I think it's a bit harder, especially with the advent of social media etc. So keep growing and exploring - it doesn't all go downhill when you age! 😄
Just want to say that I liked your chat about how van-life reigniting a part of you. Can relate and living in a tiny house with my partner and a 2year old I could loong for that easy going alone time...
Love this video and an insight into your values when considering next steps with your career. I think you mentioned that you assessed this as part of a skill share session. I’d love to do something similar as I’m at a crossroads with my career. I almost envy your key value of freedom and how you fulfil this with van life. I’m quite home based with our whole family healing but it’s a reminder to find moments of feeling a sense of freedom Thank you
You look so beautiful Molly (13:26) with your lovely red hair and that complimentary jacket, with the colors of nature all around you. Really stunning !
You're in a place for a SINGLE DAY, and yet you have the temerity to tell them how they should cater more to your needs! And for all you know those needs were met in the town, you just didn't see what you wanted because you spent practically no time there whatsoever. Incredible. Typical English middle class colonialist mentality. Those blasted parochial Jocks, eh Jeeves? Can't do a bloody thing right!
Lovely seeing you grow in confidence on your van trips with your sweet companion Skye. Yes I agree re tend to stay in your comfort zone as you get older. You have inspired me to do more solo travel❤
Gosh, I just love you and your videos so much. This made me cry when you were talking about rediscovering your strength in your 30s! I 100% get it! I felt the same thing when I would travel solo with my two kids - like, oh yeah, I *am* a badass capable strong person! I’m so happy for you and your van life. You inspire me, but you also make me feel seen and validated and I am so grateful that I recently discovered your content. LOVE the planner! Thank you Molly. ❤
Good for you Molly!❤ I get it about coming out of your comfort zone. My husband is very capable too and it is easier for him to just do the things that make me uncomfortable. But not necessarily the best for my own growth! On another note, are your walking boots vegan and waterproof? If so what make are they please? X
@@hippyhighlandliving brilliant thank you, I'll check those out! I've got Cloudrock boots which are super comfortable and lightweight but unfortunately they aren't waterproof like they claimed. I have very wet feet whenever I walk my border collies through fields! X
I could have watched an hour of this content. It was also interesting to hear your take on van travel and doing things out of your comfort zone. I totally agree. Now 50, I feel anxious about doing new or spontaneous things when I would have just gone for it in my 20’s.
Hello Molly, I love your Vlog’s because they are gentle and peaceful, but also, I enjoy your point of view being expressed! You seem very down to earth, and I really enjoy that too! One thing I would like to mention though, often I have looked forward to an outro, after a set of ads, but after the ads, you’ve gone, in a flash! Is this something that RU-vid are doing, or did your battery die, not sure, hope that you were ok! Here in Australia we are moving into Spring, but happy Autumn to you!☺️ Love and pats to Beautiful Skye!☺️🥰🐕🦺🌷🌱🧚♂️
I think faith in our ability to do hard things ebbs and flows. As we become confident in a particular area of life we might not venture out in another area. I am 63, recently retired, and healing from some health issues. After being a teacher and caretaker for many years I found myself apprehensive about venturing out independently to travel on my own. I decided to start small with solo day trips in my area and will work up to traveling farther on my own. I use to travel all the time solo for work in my 20s and 30s and I will do it again. Your channel inspires me. I appreciate your perspective on slow living. Keep doing what you do.
You look so at home Molly being out in the beautiful countryside, walking those rugged trails. Skye will be great company for you. Hope to see some more van trips when you get the wandering about bug again!
I cannot stop saying it: you bring serenity and inspiration in every video. I’m older, like a number of other commenters and it is nice to know I’m not alone in finding you encouraging and inspiring. All the best…
So beautiful and so inspiring, throughly enjoyed your video. I do wonder if you ever get a bit afraid sleeping in the van at night in such remote areas?
What a lovely trip, really enjoyed the scenery. I used to drive up to the Highlands a lot, not able to anymore ( age and arthritis) so I love your videos. If I was your age I hope I would be doing the same as you, van life has become so much more a thing😍
Good for you Molly, to go on these trips in your van with Skye. Thanks for taking us along. Such beautiful countryside! You are courageous to go on these on solo trips! Enjoy! I admire you. 😊 ❤ Sue
