i remember stepping in for my DJ friend who was playing at some hardcore punk show and i put on Taste the Floor... Those punk bitches looked at first with total disdain...then, they started coming up to me afterwards and being cool. oh, oops...i love this song!
We were at this 3 day festival. In the throws of love, with eachother and with the music of this band. We were right at the front. We can clearly be seen at 5:35 - 5:36 mark, just to the right of center of frame, and again at 5:48. Jonestown was the only band we knew besides a little Dead Meadow too and maybe a little Black Angels. Maybe lightly aware of Roky Erkison of 13th Floor Elevators & Black Crowes. Drove 13 hours. Came for Jonestown and it was so worth it. Had a great time the entire time. Met and made friends with the first band we saw the first day, Strangers Family Band, they blew our minds. Rishi, the sitar & bass player of Elephant Stone, was nearly arm's length from us, sat right in front of us. This collaboration is undoubtedly perhaps the best Super-Sonic has ever sounded, what a treat, and this concert is some of the best live music I've ever heard in my life. It was our first time seeing them. You can clearly hear me say, "Yeahh" at 8:01 mark. A memory I will never forget.
I feel like artists be in the biggest race/rush to show human beauty, and compassion, and empathy, and emotion, and the many formats it all comes together and can be revealed. That’s not a good race fr fr, cuz youre destined to do it through your own self and that’s damaging.
Fallen between the cracks this wee beestie - for most. Same as the Fields of Neph, Suxie and more. A lovely time to be alive. Peace and love all...apart from the 'bad guys' - they can fk right off!
sucio garage Rock'n roll, melodías a lo Beach Boys e influencias probables tb. de The Ramones. Una obra seminal ( acaso la primera ) de lo que sería o ya era , el Shoegazing !!
I think it was 1984 when Westy my mate from college pulled up in his car and this was playing and I was immediately grabbed, totally bitten straight away.
Los psicoelectricos gnomos q grabaron este disco d lisergiaefervecencia fabricaban caramelos d miel d avispa marciana segun receta vegana d loureed y d andywarhol???
Kurt sang Tchusse so well on And This is Our Music, he's probably my favorite vocalist; so it's even more impressive to me that I actually prefer Anton singing it. Melts a hole in my heart every time
I won this album at a seaside resort on the Jersey Shore in 1985 and the vendor was delighted to get it off his hands and make more room for Springsteen and Bon Jovi records. His loss!
If it weren't for all this UNNECESSARY noise, it would be one of my favorite albums. I really didn't understand the band's concept, ruining such good songs with this horrible noise. Imagine this in a old record player, just imagine...
16 or 17 moshing on the dance floor (well more like rooted to the spot playing the air guitar actually) pissed with my mates (on a few cans of special brew or tennants super)...great days. My parents were worried and said I was depressed....just young and like my rock music...along with the mission, cult, fields of the nephlim, cure, sisters of mercy...blessed to have lived through this period of music
Not seem them live, but would like to, the lead singer told the audience we don't need you, show's how pissed off you can get in life, still a great band this album is a classic.
