Music is EXTREMELY annoying and so is the filming the way it flies around and never slows down so you can actually see anything. Gimme a break. This 1966 Town Landau deserves better...
Mein Dortmund ist echt Deutschlands Motortown, mit den US Car Buddies, JP und dem dicken Degenhardt! Wann wird eigentlich die Ostwall- Rennstrecke wieder geöffnet😊 ?
Awesome car. Thanks to your video, I'm going to be using this exact car in my new book series. I would love to be able to get in touch with the owner and get some more information about it. Thanks for the video.
It is so unfortunate that Pontiac declined so severely in the quality of its interior materials from a highpoint in 1965 to even cheaper after 1970. Es ist so bedauerlich, dass Pontiac in der Qualität seiner Innenraummaterialien von einem Höhepunkt im Jahr 1965 bis nach 1970 so stark zurückgegangen ist.
I owned a 56 2 door hardtop same colors as this one in 1965. I paid $200 for it at a Chrysler dealer in New Brunswick, NJ. It was a trade in and it was immaculate. Only issue was it had a burnt valve and idled rough. Our family mechanic replaced the cylinder head he got from the salvage yard for $40.00. Then it ran great.
My Father bought a brand new 1967 Buick Wildcat (Dark Green with Black Interior). I am not sure of the power plant, but I knew it was a big V8. Seeing the car again brings back some fond memories of family vacations and adventures.
My favorite, I really like the rear lights inserted in the rear bumper. To bad they did not keep the 1972 model's front bumper and grille. The color on mine is taupe and the interior is raspberry corduroy
I have owned a 62 starfire for the past 25 years. Love the car. The one in the video is an unusual color. However, where was the radio antenna, the wheel covers are wrong and the whitewalls too large. The only flaws i could see. Would love to own that Fawn Mist with Colonial White roof. Beautiful.
A marvelous presentation, Peter! Thank you! By the time I was growing up in the 1970s, Buicks were already stodgy "old man" cars, but the late 1960s were some of Buick's best vehicles with elegant yet sporty styling. I don't see many classic cars on the roads today, but interestingly, I have seen a few different late 1960s Electra models in convertible and four door sedan versions on my local roads during nice weather. These cars really capture my attention, and yes, I gave a "thumbs up" to an Electra driver a couple of years ago! And I am glad you bring that up at the end regarding environmental concerns. I have a classic car myself, and yes, one needs to think how it is being used sparingly, and instead of disposing of it, it continues to give pleasure. Let it live out its life, which will be a long one! And let us have some enjoyment in this imperfect world. It's too bad that more Americans do not have the typical perspective of car maintenance that you observe in the video. Yes, "as long as it runs" can be the attitude, but I treat a car as a point of enjoyment, and want it to be in the best functioning condition that I can have it in. Thank you for preserving this car!
