Okay, not really an archive, but it's growing. One main goal: put the best possible quality videos on RU-vid. I hate trying to find a video from the past and the whole video you can find is someone holding a camera up to their TV, that doesn't even have the whole video in the picture and they talk over the whole thing. Every new video put up is in 720p or 1080i.
Anything Carolina Hurricanes and anything NC State is included in my set of videos, with some other random hockey, basketball, and football videos.
For hockey, some videos might be found already uploaded onto RU-vid, but the goal of this channel is to provide the local feeds of the exciting calls provided by Forslund.
This is AMAZING!! I remember being 9 years old the morning after, watching this exact segment like it was yesterday. Man, it would be amazing to see them do it again this year. Thank you so much for posting this, you’ve got a whole bunch of great Canes gems!
I was in owen hall as a freshman. We came out of owen and the roar started small and everyone came out with toilet paper🧻. We had no toilet paper for week😂😅
Was front row in section 6 for this game (student wolfpack club). There was a redhead guy who jumped on the field a bit early who was promptly arrested. I hate the entire student body didn't rush. Great game.
Don't care what anyone says, Mrazek did more for this team than the "better" goalies that have come after him. I know he's injury prone, and can be wild, but sorry Andersen, Raanta, whoever, haven't done for the team and fanbase what Petr helped do imo.
I was there for this game and I remember the whole crowd chanting “goal, goal, goal!” Crowd went crazy after the official announcement. Almost the craziest canes game I’ve been to. Game 7 against Buffalo is still the wildest one I’ve been to. Didn’t get to see the cup final game in person, so that is the best I got.
I was in Crapel Hill that day watching the Holes vs Blue Devils with my Tarheel bro inlaw. The u*NC fans were having a field day with every Maryland score in the 1st half chanting "fear the turtle" and whatnot. Then later it was comments like "that score can't be right" and "what the hell is going on in Raleigh?" from the heel fans. LOL
Russell Wilson in 4 years in college was the best QB in both the ACC and Big 10. He led both conferences every year in TD passes and total touchdowns. He had 132 total touchdowns, 109 TD passes with just 30 INTs. Now look at the teams with NFL talent he put those stats against. Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, Oregon, Iowa and Minnesota. That's a outstanding collection of schools he competed against.
I come here often and I'm so glad this is on RU-vid for all of us to see. This was the first year I was a Caniac. Before that I was a rabid Pens fan but that all changed when Justin Williams announced he was coming home. That was by far the most fun year of hockey I've ever watched and the memories I made that year will stick with me forever. I was in the commons room in my dorm watching this game by myself and when Nino scored, I legit broke down and cried for most of the rest of that game. I knew what I was signing up for when I decided to be a Caniac and going into the year, a part of me figured they'd probably be close to the playoffs, but when they finally made it that night, it was an incredible feeling of relief and excitement. How I wish I could get that same feeling back now. This year has been so much fun, but it'll never be nearly as fun as 2019.
I’ve been a lifelong Canes fan but I wasn’t ever into hockey from 2014 right up until the 2021 playoffs. Man, I love watching videos of the team during this time just to remind me how far we’ve come, from laughing stock to yearly cup contenders
OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! WHAT DID WE JUST SEE?! Jussi Jokinen Beats the Devils in Game 4. That is Dead Even!
These comments are so funny 8 years later from the unc fanboys. So much whining and crying. They're straight into hiding from 2019-2022. Happy New Year! How did that loss to Carolina by 19 in your pathetic bowl game feel? Finishing 6-7 when you were preseason ranked #10. What a joke.
I remember this game. I was in a sea of red, with my uconn tee and sweater. Before the game, so many wolfpack fans talked 💩 about the huskies. They said they were going to steamroll uconn, who was a nobody at the football level (moving up to fbs). I told them dan orlovsksy #7 would be the better quarterback that day, and it would be a close game. Dan outplayed Rivers, but this was disheartening. I remember how depressed he was after the game when I asked Orlovsky for an autograph. Needless to say, the huskies earned wolfpack respect that day and people told me it was a heck of a game, and the huskies were better than what the media said. They said sorry for making fun because they knew uconn had the momentum driving down the field with little time, and had been getting breakthroughs. We would go on to steamroll wake forest in winston salem 52 to I think 17. -go uconn, but y’all suck now :/ -that’s why when they (uconn) rejected my college application for admission, I chose App State for school after playing D2 one year (nc state is scared to play because they saw what app did to unc and ecu)
Maybe you don't know this but schedules are made years in advance. Sometimes a team will withdraw from a commitment to play which recently happened with us. I think we were able to fill with Marshall in a few years. But they don't just make schedules in the offseason for the next year. You claim to have played so you should know that. I get it. You went to App and have that little man syndrome that everyone is against you. We've played App in the past. Look it up. I was also at this game here with UConn. I was greatly impressed with Dan Orlovsky. I figured we were going to lose until Freddie intercepted and returned it for a TD. Maybe the only real mistake Dan made that day. All he had to do was run the clock out and take his chances with Ot. He had momentum on his side. My oldest daughter graduated from App and my youngest started but got homesick since we live on the east coast of NC. We love App State.
It's the best by the numbers, but I feel like we all probably love the end of 2021 game against UNC a little more. Two TDs with an onside kick recovery in 25 seconds in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter against the evil of all evils is pretty much the perfect comeback.
