4070 + power efficient, DLSS (gets more frames and looks better), Frame Generation is better, better RT performance - less vram, worst raster performance 7800 xt + better raster performance, RT is improved but not yet there only in light RT, FSR is evolving but not yet there - worst features (RT, Upscaling,FG), more power draw I bet people would be happy with either one, I wanted a 7800 xt but I had to replace my PSU so went with the 4070, less of a hassle in my case, very happy
I'm building a new SFF PC and have been stuck on whether or not to get an RX 7000 card. I have a 6800XT currently, and this video pretty much just helped me make my mind up to just reuse my 6800XT. The minimal performance increase from the RX 7000 series just isn't worth it at the moment. Thanks for the help.
@@f.iph7291 That's only Nvidia Path Traced games. 7900xt runs every other RT game equal to a 4070 Super. Majority of People play Cod, csg, and other shooters. 7900xt puts up frames equal to a 4080 in FPS titles.
@@f.iph7291 Yeah in PT but not RT. 2 different types of Ray Tracing. And only Nvidia sponsored titles have PT which is less than 10 games in total. All the rest of the games a 7900xt matches the 4070 super.
@@f.iph7291 Not to mention the 4070 super isn't even playable with PT unless on gaming at 1080p or using Frame Generation. And frame Gen sucks with less than 90fps.
@@DatGamerDudeI have one more question, I have the same identical configuration as you tested, 7800x3d and 7900xt but I don't have your fps, but lower and I see the processor boost at 5ghz, for me it's at 4.7/8ghz and I have everything default in processor bios, than expo. do you have any processor settings? curve optimizer -20,25,30 all core? why do you have a better result than mine in the same games? possibly being boosted to 5ghz, hence the small increase in performance for you?
@@EdoXTensei probably i didn't watch and it doesn't matter cause I've seen countless benchmark on poor RT performance on AMD. It's not a secret. Everyone knows rt and upscalingare radeon biggest weeknesses
Looking to build my first pc and am struggling with deciding if the ray tracing from Nvidia is truly worth it vs the value for fps that AMD offers. Any advice, anybody? For context, I've been playing a lot of single player games these past couple of years but always have games like Rocket League and COD in the rotation.
Cod notoriously runs FAR better on amd gpus so if you mostly play cod at 1440p or lower go with an amd card. If you mostly play single player games like cyberpunk then that really depends. I also mostly play single player games like cyberpunk at 1440p and even heavily mod them like in the cases with skyrim and minecraft for example. If I was to chose between the 2 cards shown here I'd pick the 4070ti super because of the feature compatibility and dlss are far to good of features for me specifically. If you game on 1080p I'd honestly go with the 7900xt because you won't really need upscaling unless you care about raytracing but honestly it doesn't do much in many games other than tanking your fps and it only really is worth using in cyberpunk and alan wake 2 along with another few.
@@Fronioll9973 lol amd gpu is cheaper not worth to pay twice price for nvidia to just get 10 to max 20 % fps for double price it could be worth if the fps difference is twice better than amd witch is not yet.
@@Munkhbayarkhavtgai twice? Nvidia GPU except for the 4090 is only 30 usd more now so it's 100% worth it spending the 30 usd more 😂 bro really said twice .
@@primesuspect4992 LMAO i used fsr and dlss just a hour back in gow ragnarok and its a huge difference. dlss looks like native there is 0 difference between native and dlss + in most games dlss does look better than native due to better anti aliasing
if anyone is having problems with blurry images in games with game ready drivers , switch to studio ones , its much beteer , i had this problem in rdr2 and it worked for me
This is not valid now since you can have FG on previous gen cards. It works wonders on Cyberpunk and Wukong. Probably you can install run it on any other game.
In my country, 4070Ti Super is $350 more expensive than Sapphire nitro plus 7800 xt and almost $420 than the reference model of 7800 xt. RTX 4070Ti Super is definitely a very good card but it's not worth the price it comes with which led me go with Sapphire Nitro Plus 7800XT.
