Love all your content. Been a long time subscriber on all your channels. I wish drones were silent. That noise always kills the spoken word audio. I need to figure out how to hide the wine. This one is def better than Neo!
I think it’s about half price from the hugely overpriced peak design but still very expensive for me. Neewer makes a copy of this tripod called the Lt32 and it’s slightly more affordable.
Big fan of Ulanzi products. This tripod was released after the Peak Design Carbon tripod, which this Ulanzi tripod is based on. This Ulanzi version is under half the price of the Peak Design tripod, which unfortunately I bought 1st ☹️. If I could turn back the clock I’d buy this Ulanzi tripod and skip the more expensive Peak Design version. Great video and thanks 👍 - Buy Ulanzi.
I use a carbon fiber monopod and my walking poles to make the tripod. Put the monopod through the straps of both poles and twist. Saves weight on long distances hikes 👍
At the 2:03 mark of the video there's a pop up window that says there is an area Swiss version of the tripod and if you look in the info section under the video he even provides a link to an area Swiss version.
Something strange about every reviewer of power banks is that they all seem to be worried about how fast these battereis can charge a device, which i find useless, i do worry about getting a fast charge from a wall outlet because i might be in a hurry and just need a quick charge before i leave, but when it comes to batteries, they go along with me anywhere, i dont care if it takes 30 mins or 2 hours to get to 60%, its going to be there anyway, all i care is will it turn on a dead device? how many times can i charge my laptop with this? if i charge it and throw it in my backpack just in case, and 3 weeks later i run out of power and need it, how much of the charge will it hold after 3 weeks in a backpack? Real world scenarios, charging a laptop 60% in 30 minutes is meaningless to me if i can only charge it once or twice due to the fast charging, give me one extra cycle in exchange for slow charging, im not throwing away the battery after i charge my laptop, a fast charge battery is like an alwys hard dick, sounds good in theory but anyway once you use it is the same, and after you are done you are still stuck with it anywhere you go
Great review of the Alzi Coleman Zero tripod. I'm really impressed with the quality and features of this tripod. It's definitely a great option for outdoor filmmakers Sir
It's not an exact copy, but as soon as I saw the bag, I knew that it was going to be... let's say... **heavily** inspired by Peak Design's travel tripod
That's wild! I have the aluminum model, which is probably heftier, but still fits in the top box on my motorcycle - which is what I got it for. Ulanzi really does make great, affordable stuff. Based on your video, I checked - and my cheaper tripod has pop-off rubber feet, which when removed reveals pegs! BONUS! Thanks, man!
Do you think sometimes it might be a positive change for content creators to say “my most beloved” “my most used” rather than “the best” in content titles and thumbnails? I don’t mean that as a confrontational question, just something that I think of every time a RU-vidr says “the best” in content titles when chances are they haven’t tried every thing on the market, and they really mean it’s the best they’ve tried (or the best that they’ve been sent, in some cases- not your case) - and the phrases loses its meaning. Dunno. It won’t exactly reduce the constant onslaught of “the best” or “the only” barrage of content we’re flooded with, but surely we all feel fatigued from the traditional content hyping phrasing and can have a more measured way of talking to each other nowadays 🤔 I’m a big fan btw this is meant only as a thought that keeps occurring
I’ve thought about this myself. I think the reason that “the best” works so well is because that’s what people search for when trying to find a new product. But it is a meaningless word without context which is why I then tried to personalise the video to explain what it’s the best for. I’d argue though you don’t have to try every product to make that call though as often you can tell from just the specs if it’s what you are after. Example when I was researching to buy this tripod I ruled out several that were too heavy or too short just from looking at specs. But I might experiment with the titles.
@@stevestechemporium I think you’re right about search phrases. I hadn’t taken that into account, as I’m a subscriber and aren’t finding the video via search . That weakens my logic substantially 😃 good point, well made 🍻
Good review! My favorite as well. I've been using one since it was first released. It hits the sweet spot of weight/stability/features. I love the F38 system. Worth the price to me.
Awesome tripod Steve, you always present your subscribers top quality content that just makes me want to spend my money on these wonderful products. You definitely know what you are looking for which is why I trust your opinions on products that you review. Keep up the good work Steve. 👍🏽
Great video! I agree with you, I've had the Hoverair X1 for a year almost and love it, when you travel as much as I do worldwide, you won't understand and appreciate the portability aspect of the Hoverair. The NEO is targeting that entry level drone market with fpv features and be clear, they are NOT full FPV features, it's limited and slapped in the AI selfie feature to compete with Hoverair. I just received my X1 Pro, although I had a rough app start, the drone is solid and built quality is much better then it's predecessor. The 4K quality is insanely good and can also do 60fps and slo mo. Yes, the NEO has the price advantage but spec to spec to the new X1 Pro, the NEO falls short in every aspect period. You get what you pay for ;) I'm a big DJI drone fan as I have the M3P and Avata 2, I almost pulled the trigger on the NEO as I have goggles 3 and motion controller to work with it but I'll wait for NEO 2. Everyone says yes, you can fly it farther and like an FPV, you cannot without upgrading to a DJI RC.. add another $200 ;) The phone control only allows you to fly 50 meters distance, how far do you think this drone will go AND return effectively with 12 'usable' battery time as the NEO starts to warn and return with a 4 minute safety warning. Also, we are starting to see that the NEO has some serious tracking issues, front tracking especially, it's just horrible, DJI should be ashamed tbh and the NEO is not as fast moving as the X1 Pro series. Anyways, my 2 cents, hope NEO 2 will be better.
NEVER had this X1 BUT , bought as Pre-ordered Hover X1 PROMAX combo pack month ago, cant F*n wait to get it in next couple of weeks🔥🔥🤘👍 ProMax is more money , BUT if the feathers & quality of it was in this little DJI Neo , i would bet money on that would be over thousand dollars EASY ..to what we getting with ProMax is Bargen even with combo pack as i ordered, DJI Drones is overpriced & still using the BIG BULKY 2000s style Equipment's as needs Big bags or backpack to carries it around & have to go throw all that license crap mambo jumbo things to fly & enjoy, this just fly from ur hand , get ur shots ..lands back in ur hand and shove it in ur jeans back pocket go to ur next shoot, NO B.S or drama..got Beacon controller cant wait to try it👌
Just got my X1 Pro ;) $399 for the X1Pro, $199 for NEO but hardware wise spec to spec, the X1 Pro is 10x better, you get what you pay for with NEO. The X1 Pro built quality is way better then the original X1 imo. With the Beacon, the X1Pro will give the more traditional drone flying experience.
I’ve been drone curious for a long time but I also know that I would never be bothered to get a drome mid run or ride and fly it so I’ve been waiting for this type of drone to materialise for a long time. I have a hover x1 max bike pack on order. The hover x1 won’t work for my as I do a lot of kayaking and winter sports and not working over water is a deal breaker and the neo is loo slow won’t keep up With me biking. Obviously the form factor is important too. Again I know myself and stopping mid ride to get something out of a bag would be a huge barrier to use it. The Neo is amazing value watching it constantly lose DC rainmaker in his review meant it’s not for me
My new favourite RU-vid genre is "men running away from drones". Great video, thanks! (I'm eagerly awaiting the X1 Pro and RU-vid keeps showing me X1 videos to get me all riled up...)
I own both and the X1 cannot be guided by voice control or multiple controllers for that Neo wins regardless if it doesn’t fold, and if the Neo crashes it is more robust. However I agree the X1 it’s an everyday carry.
with the price of hoverair x1 $349 only get 1 battery with flight time 11 minutes, control with mobile phone only 30 meters, 2.7K video... but dji neo with the price of $300 get 3 batteries, each battery fly 15 minutes, total 45 minutes, 4k video, control with mobile phone 50 meters, and for $300 include remote RC N3 with a distance of more than 2,000 meters, so DJI Neo is far superior
I’ve seen raw footage from both drones, Neo has upscaled 4k it’s horrible, and it’s very over sharpened, and there’s no way to change through the dji app so you have to buy the controller to change some video settings. Hover had a 1080p vertical video mode which useful to share on social media. For the price Neo wins. To be honest I’m waiting for the official release of the X1 pro and promax !
Great video. This is an excellent little drone but how does the image quality look, compared to the neo? Also, I've seen other vloggers managed to attach a small action camera onto the neo.
..nice review...were still waiting for the improvements on the newly released X1 pro and promax modes for dolly track and side tracking...and fly over water...
Techically are quite similar even if in a diret functions comparation NEO win, by the way, but ... Sorry man, what about the prices? X1 is twice the price... And robustness? There are impressive NEO tests, litterally and intentionally crashing at full speed (manual FPV) on a concrete wall, multiple times, without major problems. NEO do not fold, you are right man, even after a 50 Km/h (some 30 mph) multiple crashes onto a concrete wall, trees etc. and some 110 mt no engine free fall!
I just got my X1 Pro and the built quality is much much better then the original X1, yes, it's more expensive no argument but look at spec to spec, the X1 Pro hardware spec is much better and the 4K is actually 4K shooting at 60fps, of course the NEO is cheaper, it has less hardware. But DJI is going after that entry level toy drone market and they added the 'selfie' portion to compete with HoverAir.
The exact ability you say make u prefer the x1 is the exact ability that makes me choose the neo. The x1 feels too fragile when folding. It feels like a toy. For the price of an x1 i can get a remote along with the drone. Kids can use it like a regular drone. Also support and accessories for the neo is so much easier to find
Thing is, the Neo will do a lot of other things that the hover won't. It's really like about 3 different drones in one. If you only want a selfie drone, then the HoverAir is fine I suppose.
I don’t think the video quality out of the Neo is good enough for general usage. Much better with one of the mini series if you need a more general use drone. Although it is ridiculously cheap for what it does
It's also 2 and a half times the price, give or take. That's like saying the Ritz is better than a Travelodge or the Bates Motel for our American cousin's.
