You can save money by decorating yourself and not hiring someone else to do it. I would want my home to feel like a reflection of me, not someone else. You can save a ton of money by thrifting the furniture and lamps and stuff. You can get less expensive sheets instead of paying $150 to $200 for them. You don't have much choice on the hard costs, unless you have a construction worker husband, but the soft costs can easily be taken care of for way less.

well, it use to be that you could live better in the suburbs, but that is not more, rent is up, cost of cars and homes up, car insurance up, home insurance up, car and home repairs up, taxes up, everything is through the roof, so it is not much better out here. at the same time is boring and empty.
