Thank you so much for making this video. Yesterday I took a shot at this technique but then i hasn’t come across this video(it took a lot to find this) so I just swung my hand at it. I made a swirl bun made using an English braid attached to my hair using wool. Although I was skeptical, the bun was quite well attached to My head and the best part was that I couldn’t feel a thing. Normally pins hurt at times but that bun was light as air. Please make more videos on the basics. This is truly a forgotten art , I couldn’t find any other channels making videos using thread. I plan to incorporate this technique into my everyday living. I hate pins as I have a sensitive scalp. This has been amazing so far.

Hi 👋 I came across your channel when looking for diy tutorials on hair taping. I love the little to no use of hair pins in your styles and buns. Could you make in depth tutorials , preferably diy, on those hair buns and how to make the know and sew almost hip length hair into the bun. Thank you ☺️

Lovely video, although I could totally do without the hideous music. Now all I need is someone showing how to diy this. I wonder if using thread to make the bun hurts less than using a 1000 pins?

About 4 hours before a party I decided to try this style, by myself, with only Bobby pins, elastic and audacity. It's definitely nowhere near as neat as this video, but after 2 hours I have a passable hairdo for my toga party. Thank you!

Thank you so so much for helping people understand how to do these hairstyles! My partner is Sicilian, and we've had a lot of luck in picking up ancient Mediterranean beauty routines for them. I know these hairstyles will look gorgeous on them!

...I can't knot my hair in one loop like that at all, it's too thick for my length i think? It's just above brastrap length. It works with using just half my hair, like a half updo.

I was having a lot of fun with some beginner beading projects, then I got the age-related tremble in my fingers. Oh, well. I think a mix of bead shapes, sizes and colors, like yours, are the most interesting. I wanted to make a necklace with all 14K findings, but they very hard to procure, not to mention expensive. My older/vintage beaded necklaces tarnished beyond recovery during one of out California wildfire-storms and few years ago, even though they were mostly in drawers and cabinets. With the heavy smoke, we had one day where we only got about half our normal sunlight, causing widespread lateness and confusion, then conditions nearly as bad for weeks afterward. It took me several years to polish my sterling jewelry, doing a few pieces at a time while listening to podcasts in the evenings. Now I store them in plastic jewelry bags with anti-tarnish strips. The shame is that I don’t wear them much now, out of sight is out of mind. My few silver plate serving utensils still need to be polished! Even seldom-worn clothes in storage stank like smoke, and the biggest fire was 30 miles away.
