Hey, thanks for the video. I have similar products, I know it's quite outdated these days, but I do not have any idea in what way that we can do maintenance service by ourselves to this item. Any idea? I have read the manual, yet it does not mention about the frequency and types of self-test that we should do. Thanks.
Even though this failure was probably caused by improper Cutlass installation it would be nice to know the hours of use before failure considering the expense involved.
This is the second video I see about major technical problems on this boat, the first one was about major problems with the drive shafts. Looks like millions were spent correcting problems.
That's the result of bad managment and lack of supervision during the assembly of critical components . Moreover some compônents were not checked for QC before assembly. That's bad.
Would the same service basically apply to the Lugger main engines in the same range of hours? What additional service would need to be done to the Luggar main engine? I might have missed it, but how much did that overhaul cost?
Thanks for posting, we wondered if there was a place for Nordhavn’s to stop here. We are in Seminyak, about 15 minutes from your docking place. We are on a cruise ship tomorrow for Australia. We can see from your drone shot where the cruise ship stops.
Yeah, my thoughts as well, someone stuffed up, with 7000 hours on the clock those cutlass bearings should have been in very good shape. My guess is cheap material and misalingement along the supply and deliver chain. I know of at least three other Nordhavn of similar sizes to this having issues re delivery voyage issues that would raise eyebrows as the problems were not minor.
😂 Sorry sir I just made this video just for my memories but I don't expect many people will watch. Anyways I will ask permission to my captain for a video tour for you. also thos people email me for a vessel tour. So all of you can see the beauty of nordhavn 86..😁
Was the bike laid there purposely for others to trip over?, lots of unnecessary safety stuff here, its 2021 so all farts need be recorded in the safety at work book.
We got those corrosion problems when we're trying to integrate Asian Equipments. running a non Asian super yatch In Asia you well expect more problems as normal wear and tear on yatch in Europe. Like the water temperature, marinas power supply, constant trash suck in the machine, desiel quality and a lot more.
@@Dmitrii_Anatolyevich 5years ago the fuel here is too dirty, i clean every 6months. But now every 2years because the fuel now here in Indonesia is clean already. Every 4 years though I change all the orings come with the service kit.
Many people probably dream of a Nordhavn just as me. The question I'm left with after seeing many videos is; I noticed many often have problems with the stabilisers. Is it poor quality on these normally installed on them? I'm also surprised to see this electro corrosion and how it affected so many parts especially on such a new boat. Is there a tip about how to prevent this to happen on other Nordhavn boats and what to look for? It looks like a hard thing to detect.
Si sir Andrew, as far as I know in nordhavn side only our yatch got this corrosion problem when we replace our atlast power converter with local transformer. Our captain desided to change the Atlast Power Converter deu to it constant breakoff on its parts. The biggest problem is we are running on asia and the technician from Europe can't solve the issues we have. As an engineer onboard. The Nordhavn vessel are really good, the quality they made vessel and the engineering side is so user-friendly.
Excellent video! I´d want to do something like that immediately! Can you please tell me the interpret and title of the music in the background between 0:15 and 1:15?
